If you live in a place where there are some ethnic minority communities, especially Indian and Pakistani, it's a good idea to check out the bigger supermarkets where they shop. You can often get good deals on big bags of flour, pulses and rice, drums of cooking oil, big packets of herbs and spices and cleaning materials. You won't need any kind of membership card either,0

Hi cashwitch,
There's an earlier thread with lots of tips and advice on bulk buying that should help so I've added your thread to it to keep the replies together.

Hello, firstly if this is in the wrong place sorry (please advise where's best if it is)
So stockpiling seems a thrifty thing to do and I must admit since finding this site I seem to have started a stockpile and rather sadly I look at it and smile. I have searched on the internet and the Americans are big on this well I want to see yours!
Call me nosy if you like but I'm sure others are curious to see how and what you stockpile. I currently have a rather crudely made shelving corner in my closet but I am in the process of refitting the under stair area for storage/laundry so for now mine is just makeshift.
Please feel free to post pics, chat about piles (of the non bottom kind) and share lists of what you have, storage tips or any such thing you like.Littlewoods £10 Very BNPL £234.42

So long as I've got 2 tins of beans and 4 packets of cheap noodles, I'm happy that I've got stuff I can eat.0

If there was a state benefit for whoopsie bargains i'd be on the high rate!
I lived with one (american) freezer quite happily for years but recently aquired a second large fridge freezer, and you know what the more you stockpile the more you want!
I now have at least 17 packs of lean steak mince (all whoopsied to 50p) no end of free range chicken pieces again whoopsied to around 99p.
Add mince, sausages and pork chops i could run a butchers from my house!
My thing is meat, i'm happy to go out and buy the odd tin of tomatoes etc but meat is expensive. My OH moans at me going out 2-3 times a week to try and get the bargains, but the reason he has good home cooked food on the table every night he gets in from work is because i do the rounds for reduced stuff xxI will save my tesco £1 savings stamps this year! .......so far = £50 (full card#1)
Card #2 £6. I will not be skint at Chistmas this year!

If its tinned/packets/non perishable or frozen, I just stock up when its cheap.

I have started on the food too, like you say stuff that can be frozen and non perishables. Quaker oats so simple sachets x 10 were on 50p once and i had a 50p off coupon (pdf, still available) stocked up on loads of those.Littlewoods £10 Very BNPL £234.42
