welcome nhs slave
madmum33 thats a lovely pic
Busy at work today, other girl didnt turn in. Her old dog had a stoke through the night, and sadly had to be put to sleep this morning.
I forgot it was world book day today, I tought it was monday. Kids went to school in their uniform, but OH had to go back again with with their fancy dress costumes. DS went as a Monk (friar tuck from robin hood) & DD went as sleeping beauty!
Right, best go and fetch them
Take care

ShirleyPark - that pic is beautiful, and the older child looks just like my cousin does in pictures of her at a similar age (though she is now almost 30!)
Loubee - glad the move is about to happen :j :j - Where is it you ended up finding a place? It will be nice to have another OSer in SE London
CCStar - yikes  - Glad you are both OK!
Shez - you're right, I do loads and am always busy, but I have just about got the balance right these days. I went through a stage about 4 or 5 years ago when I found myself going out nearly every night, I was spending every penny I had on theatre tickets and beer, and the ironic thing was I barely remembered half the stuff I had seen because my memory was on overload! These days at least I know that if I don't have at least 2 or 3 evenings at home on the sofa each week, I am completely useless! Saves me a few quid too!
Welcome NHS Slave :hello:
Just a quick question - at Borough Market there are a couple of posh sausage butchers. I was just wondering, their plain pork sausages are 88p per 100g (the fancy ones are more expensive). Is this particularly dear (as Borough Market tends to be) or is it quite reasonable for proper, butcher-made sausages?Operation Get in Shape

am so excited! I am moving to Crystal Palace (the street is very near the dinosaurs, if you know what i mean!). My friend has a van, and lots of other mates have been bribed with bacon sandwiches and beer to help me move my stuff.
Am so relieved it worked out. I found a really nice place in Sydenham, and my reference checks went through ok, only to be rung up and told that the landlord had advertised the place with a number of letting agents and it had been let through another and was now occupied
edit Happy Birthday hazzie! Have a lovely day0 -
Oooooh, I love Crystal Palace! All leafy and hilly with all those big rambling houses - and loads of trains into London and elsewhere. The railway station is gigantic though and you have to be a mountaineer to get to Platform 4
Are you in a purpose-built flat or a conversion?
I'm over there every couple of weeks as my singing teacher lives down the bottom of the hill, off Anerley Road.
Good luck with the move!
Happy birthday Hazzie123!Operation Get in Shape

Well I am back from the gym, I went with a friend and her oh so better for a first visit.
Most folk were friendly thank goodness, I even got chatting to some people in the spa pool. Spa pool was so nice after the swim as it got rid of all my pains, they are back with avengence now though! Off to find some painkillers. Still it was worth it.
One woman did still ignore me, I used to look after her child so find it hard to understandmaybe she just doesn't know what to say? Anyway I thought about what you had said this morning (thank you) and just got on with my swim and soon got chatting to some nice people so that balanced it all out.
Both the meat orders turned up in good time this morning and they do look rather nice, although the 3lb chicken I was expecting turned into a 2lb pork loin roasting joint! Everything but the sausages (company tomorrow night) and the bacon hock (pea and ham soup) is in the freezer.
CCstar - Thank goodness you are ok, we had something similar happen to us on the M25 last year, the tyre burst at about 60 mph and oh managed to get us safely onto the hard shoulder to change the tyre. The met police were not very helpful though in fact they were downright nasty about us "parking there" (as if we had any choice!) but the highways agency were lovely and did a fend off for us. Hope you are feeling calmer now (((Hugs)))
Shez and Rzl - I have put on a stone in weight since you last saw mebut thankyou for being so nice. Hopefully I will be able to lose some of it at the gym.
Rzl - those sausages sound reasonable for the real thing.
Shirleypark - Those photos are lovely, I especially love the castle ones. You have real talent. Makes me want to get my camera out now!
Off to find Elonas recipe for Pea and Ham soup, I know it is here somewhere!
Catz xOur days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.
