  • Morning all! Beautiful day here today at the moment, I've got a load in the WM almost ready to peg out on the line.

Congratulations to those little ones who have gained their chosen school places. I am SO GLAD my two are out of the school system now, I don't envy you that awful waiting game at all.

Catowen, many <hugs>, my best friend moved away from here about 18 months ago and although it's not as far as your friend is going, it still hurts and I miss her terribly. Definitely keep in touch with her by email at the very least, thank heavens for modern technology.

Pink, you poor thing! Passing out with pain doesn't sound good at all, did you have your foot checked out? I hope you and OH can have a belated celebration when you're feeing better.

Was woken from a nice snooze by the postman bringing a parcel so am completely dazed and confused today. I have managed to put some braising steak and mushrooms into the slow cooker, will make that into a pie for OH later on, I will have just the stew as I'm not keen on savoury pastry. I've just about managed to have a shower and grab some brekky. Just going to put that washing out now before it rains :)

    Have a good day everyone

    Hi everyone,

Not been posting for a while. I was away at the weekend and since have not been well.

I've been under a lot of stress at work (long story) and it seems to have sparked off a flare up of my mystery illness. The specialists have said that they can see there is something wrong but they don't know what!!! I've given up trying to find out now, it's too frustrating, but it's horrid when I feel so bad and can't tell people why.

    Sorry moan over.

Well done to Miss Pooky and Master Chikadee and anyone else in the same position.
  • Morning all :)

((hugs)) to anyone who needs them

I'm really sad today, dunno why really. I've got PMT (aka have become a snivelling wreck) and my legs aren't working so i'm very frustrated with myself. Also stupid Virgin Media have taken sky one off and Bones is on tonight so i'm mad lol cos its my fave programme. Anyway, i've cancelled with them and switched to Sky - i can't cope without Sky One!! Not very O/S of me is it?!

    B - cereal, tea, juice
D - DD at school, i've no appetite today
T - Will get a portion of Shepherds pie out for DD

    Take care all

    Good morning all!!

Congrats to all who got their places!!! Have everything crossed for those waiting to find out and for Clairefun too.

    (((HariboJunkie))) and ((((Catznine))).

Pink - that sounds dreadul, hope you're feeling better now.

Scuzz - I'm definitely tempted by the kick boxing after your report, it's supposed to be great for the stomach muscles which are my one problem area after two kids, one a c-section. Will look into it. DH will think it's hilarious!!!!

I'm feeling truly blue today, it's so unlike me, I'm a very happy person usually. I actually feel like bursting into tears. I think it must be PMT which isn't something I usually suffer from and there is no reason for me to feel like this, so I think I'll throw myself into my work today and hope it passes. I am considering taking a days leave tomorrow as DH is working all weekend and the weather is so beautiful, I'm dying to get into the garden. Maybe I could persuade DH to take me for lunch too. ;)

    Hugs to all in need.

I am lucky to be alive today and I feel really jittery

We were on the way home at 8.50pm from shopping and our car hit something (a lorry differential - about the size of a head - solid metal) on the line on the motorway - 2 lanes. We were travelling about 50-60 mph, clear visibility. There was no-one else around at the time thank heavens.

There was this loud bang, we went everywhere and OH managed to get us onto the hard shoulder in a controlled way. It happened so fast.

Our two tyres on the driver side burst and the sill was scratched and lord knows what happened underneath.

We called the police to get it cleared and the RAC to take us home. I first thought it was a blowout but it was us hitting this object.

The police protected us from being hit on the hard shoulder and about an hour later a carrier took us home and the car to the pound, then going to a garage tomorrow.

We should hopefully get a car first from the RAC for three days and a courtesy car afterwards. Hopefully as it isn't a fault accident (the police said it was an accident even no other person involved) we could keep our NCB.

You cope at the time but the shock is making me jittery no

Oh yes - happy new month, I am in a whirl today.

We had a viewer last night before we went out.

She was late and we had to ring to check she was coming after 15 minutes.

She is very keen and bringing her OH tomorrow night, fingers x'd.

Big hugs with the PMT - I had it really bad

Yes Virgin are really messing up cable and putting really silly messages on the screen about the old channels.
