I really like this phone but has anybody else had problems with the £10 pre paid top-up? It still has not activated and CPW told me it would take 24 hours, then 48 hours and now they say they will have to contact Orange but it will take 14 days for a refund to be issued.
Hopefully this is an isolated incident but thought I would ask.

Mine hasn't been activated yet, but it's only 5 hrs.

It arrives within 48hours of your trying to make a call. If you've not tried to make a call yet I suggest you do so.

Also the £20 of free apps doesn't kick in till you've had the phone 14 days

Yes I have tried to make a call but after 4 days it has not registered. I will pursue it with CPW but just wondered if any other MSE colleagues had the same problem.

    Thanks for your reply.

I bought instore so my T-Mobile microsim was activated there and then...

Not sure why you must wait longer if you buy online.
I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.

    Distance selling regulations probably.

Just to chip in, I bought a Lumia 710 a few days ago and am certainly impressed with it.

After the last couple of years using Android, and the clean interface is the thing I like most about WP7.

    A bargain at £99.

Yes the Nokia 710 is a great phone to have. Many apps are available such as Facebook, games and a lot of Xbox games.

I like it too - especially the ultra black display with white clear lettering. I've still to get attached to it, but it has slightly more 'style' than Android, and the audio quality is slightly better than my old Samsung GT-5360... for £99 it is not to be missed (or £79 it you take account of the £20 app discount).
