Ok just got this and seems great so far...apart from one MAJOR problem I'm having - trying to connect to wifi at home but phone keeps saying password incorrect. It's definitely the right password but having none of it. I've reset the router, changed the router name, changed the channel number and password but still says password incorrect.
It's a Belkin router, with wep security. Works fine on iPad / iPhone / htc (but usually have to manually input ip address in as it confuses them)
Really struggling with this, any ideas??0 -
Same problem here - sometimes it would connect, othertimes not..plus when the screen times out it often disconnects from wi-fi.
I gave up on it... using the cellular connection... but seriously considering ditching the phone altogether as it's not reliable ie. calls ending because of a calendar reminder or having my eardrum blasted when a text message arrives while I'm on a call.I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.

What a real shame. I have a soft spot for Nokia, having had a number of their non-smart phones in the past. Simple, reliable, great battery life.
I had high hopes for the Lumina range and my friend is really pleased with hers, but she mainly uses it as a handset, text device and takes the odd photo. Screen looks great and it was good to see Microsoft getting back into to smartphone market.
Looking at the list of 101 things wrong with the Lumina and stripping out the ones that didn't really matter to me, I was still surprised with some of the major omissions and defects. And to ad to that the two previous posts' problems, it looks like Nokia/Microsoft still have a considerable way to go.
I hope they can and give us all yet another choice of device.0 -

I reckon most of these issues/limitations will be sorted in Windows Phone 8, Nokia didn't really do much with their first Windows Phones, aside from some exclusive apps. Hopefully we will get some Nokia input into the Windows Phone 8 and get some serious hardware combined with a modern, easy to use user interface.

Thanks for that. For may part, most of the original list wouldn't apply to my use, but simple things like Bluetooth file transfer missing or inability to sync wirelessly unless plugged in to mains as well as a few others acknowledged as missing would bother me. And, of course, the faults in the previous 2 posts are a bit scary.
Fingers crossed for W8. :beer:0 -
If you compare the 710 with Android phones around the same price point it totally wipes the floor with them. Yes there are limitations but for 100 odd quid it's still a cracking phone. If you want the full Android experience then clearly you should buy an S3 or similar.
As for Nokia they will always be around in some state because of their strong presence in developing countries.0 -
Ordered one last night, recieved a message today that they are out of stock. They will try to fulfill the order in the next seven days but after that the order will be cancelled and if the offer has expired won't commit to supply at the offer price.
Looks like enough people are interested at this price despite the limitations.Keep smiling,

Offer over - cheapest is now £124.900

Got ours today and stuck the Orange SIM in which came with it (out giffgaff SIM hasn't arrived yet). It downloaded settings which seem to have put an Orange front end on IE. How do I get rid and get back to vanilla IE?There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.
In every town, in every state. In every house and every gate.
Wth every precious smile you make. And every act of kindness.
