An interesting read....101 limitations of Windows Phones - to me the most annoying one is having my phone call ended by getting a Calendar reminder, happened this morning and just terminated my call although the reminder did pop up onto the screen...Anyway most of the below won't bother me, but might some people - I'll continue using Android.
1. No true multitasking for 3rd party apps - they re frozen in the background. ........................................................................................................
.................110. Internet Explorer has no Forward/Backward button for page views.
Yeah, but apart from that?0 -
The true limitations of Lumia 170 IMHO are
No way to make it WiFi hotspot (but expected as firmware update in future)
No mass storage mode - which means messing around with Zune
No micro SD card slot
Bluetooth supports audio file transfer only.
No automatic profile management even with any app.
All these are possible under Symbian. In fact, after reviewing all the current smartphone plantforms (iOS, Android, Windows) Symbian does not look badHappiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.0 -
I'd say another limitation of WP as it stands (for me) is the maximum screen resolution. However, Mrs F doesn't see it as a problem. There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.
In every town, in every state. In every house and every gate.
Wth every precious smile you make. And every act of kindness.

Tiles/Live Tiles are pretty useless.
I use Evernote - on Android I have a widget which takes up around a third of the screen - one of my 7 screens. On it I can see my most recent notes and have buttons with icons for all notes, add a note, add a picture, add audio, search and settings. And, of course, the whole widget interface is customisable - I have it as white on a black background.
On Windows Phone I just have a green Evernote tile showing no information at all - possibly it can be mapped to go straight to add a note, for example, but it's pretty poor compared with Android.
The camera on the 710 is a bust, for me. Photos taken can be uploaded to Skydrive, but they are altered and reduced in quality with no way round this. What's the point in that? Again, on my Sony, my photos are automatically uploaded to Dropbox regardless of their size.
So, I shan't be using the Nokia for note-taking or photography.I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.

...or music.
I did get round to using Zune - never again - and put 4Gbs of music on there.... the music player and it's various incarnations, Zune, Nokia Music, Mix, whatever, is a mess.. No easy way of making playlists, no EQ options and its sound is lacking compared with my iPod Touch or Clip Zip. Maybe the Monster iems will help
But the 710 does look pretty, and animations are smooth - I'll give it that.I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.

One thing that I dont think will last, and yes I bought one is the charging pointDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

And no easy way to wake up the screen - the 3 buttons on the front won't accomplish this, nor the volume buttons.
Instead you must locate and press the power button on the top - not easy to find and press in the dark as there is nothing to usefully distinguish it by feel, another design fault. You could set the screen to time-out after 3 or 5 minutes, of course, but the battery already is suspect in mine.
Of course, this isn't really a Nokia - they shut down all their European factories; this phone is designed in America and built in Taiwan. It's a Microsoft phone.I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.

Android & Google for some.0 -
People may like the phone and the OS for its interface... a couple of days playing around with it, however, simply shows the limitations next to Android or iOs...not sure that it's worth £100 - to me, at least.
I shouldn't need to google its faults when they're abundantly clear to me after a couple days use...I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.
