I sometimes carry more than 100kg on my bike, signalling is quite difficult.0

I think you sum it up perfectly!:)0 -
Cyclists using hand signals? Where i live you are lucky to see them using lights at night!PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0

lights didnt stop me getting shunted off the road......
Perhaps not and no doubt you always use them. But the point i'm making is that I see more and more cyclists riding at night without lights than ever before, mostly kids whose parent's should be responsible.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. I agree, they cost(in real terms) pennies for basic lights.
however you can follow the highway code, exceed the legal requirements (as my lights do) and wear high vis etc
however all it takes is a driver to not give a flying *$!* and its game over.
my bikes exceed all requirements, they are serviced far more regularly than the car!
however Im limited by what I can do.
anyone who hasnt ridden in recent years will have little idea of what a cyclist faces every day0 -

Probably the same ones that can't be bothered signalling although again I do find it strange given it's in a cyclist's best interest to be seen by everyone else. It does worry me how many kids I see with either no lights or such low power lights they don't even bother, I have been thinking of filming some night time driving to show to local schools so they can see just how much of a difference it makes to have proper lights and reflective surfaces.

I cross a motorway entrance every week. I have to wait on average 10 mins every week because they don't signal when they go on the motorway.
I Have to guess if they are going straight on or on the motorway. Now that is annoying0 -
Would it *really* be that difficult to equip bicycles with indicator lights? Then this problem would go away surely?0

difficult? no
expensive,yes
until its a legal requirement then its unlikely to happen bar niche products.
margins are tight on bikes.
Shimano are already into their 2nd year f electric groupsets on bikes
we already have modern hub dynams with capaciters
however any indicator product is IME expensive and poorly implemented0
