Cyclists not using hand signals

I've lost count the times I've followed some cyclists that refuse to give hand signals when turning.
Why the heck do you not follow the highway code and let me know where you intend to go??
NB: I'm a cyclist too so I know what I'm talking about here. It seems to be the lycra brigade who are the worst offenders.

They're probably the same lycra brigade that wear helmet cameras, antagonise drivers and then trim the video clip to make it look like the driver started it. They then upload it to YouTube so the BBC and The Guardian can fawn over the footage.
I'm afraid that although it occasionally annoys the impatient driver behind me, I give cyclists extra space because they can be unpredictable and it's the car driver who inevitably loses out (damage to vehicle/increased insurance premiums for five years).0 -
Terrible...almost as bad as all those motorists who seem to have given up indicating altogether and leave other motorists, cyclists and pedestrians to guess what they'll fancy doing next!Just because somebody is certain doesn't mean they are right!0

Don't forget that motorists have driving licences & their cars have registration numbers (cyclists of course are required to have neither).
Police can and do penalise drivers for not using indicators and other careless driving.0 -
Almost as bad as those that stick their arm out and manoeuvres at the same time, without looking to see if it's safe to do so, good fun is Oxford, you get to plat guess what the cyclist will do next.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0

Cyclists should keep both hands on the handlebars.Mortgage free

Quite right, there are probably equal numbers of both, and it would not surprise me in the least if they own bikes and cars, and have little consideration for anyone else.0 -
With the state of the roads these days, you're taking quite a risk if you remove your hands from the handle bars
That said, most drivers take a turning signal to mean "overtake NOW"

And they don't pay road tax either! The evil swine!
Now you would have thought that cyclists, with their moneysaving, healthy ecofriendly mode of travel would be popular on these forums. Nope! As popular as tax avoiders!"In times of universal deceit, telling the truth will be a revolutionary act. "
