    Hi All
The main news today is that OH has got an interview – in fact he should be there now, if he hasn’t already finished. The employer is the same as mine (although at a different site) and if my experience is anything to go by, he should know fairly quickly whether he has got it – in my case it was the next day! I’ve really got my fingers crossed for him for this one – it is not full time but the venue would be absolutely perfect for him.
I have managed to have a fairly productive morning at work, even though I have absolutely no enthusiasm today! Only another 3 or 4 hours until I can go home!
Very shortly I shall be going to hopefully get rid of another Avon delivery. After that I have still got 2 left – one person is definitely on holiday and I think the other one is as well because I haven’t seen her. Tomorrow I must pay in as much as I can to my bank account so I can actually pay for my last order.
No other news today, I think, so we’ll get straight on to today’s to do list:
    · Write letter to my home insurance providers (meant to do this yesterday)
    · Collect together and bag up money ready to pay into my account tomorrow
    · Investigate free bingo opportunities
    · Do some surveys
    · Do a small amount of housework
I think that will do to be going on with! I have a nagging feeling that there was something else I meant to add to this list but I can’t think what it is!
    Bye for now!

Fingers crossed for OH - if he's getting interviews it is a big step in the right direction.

    Have a good day

I have just had a phone call from OH's brother and it would appear that jobs are like buses - none for ages and then several come along at once:
    • the interview today went really well
    • he had a phone call today from the care home he had an interview at a couple of weeks ago, asking him to go tomorrow to do a CRB
    • OH's brother said a few weeks ago that he thought he could get him some work - he now says that it is 90% likely
    Things are looking up!!:j

That certainly looks a whole lot better than it has been!

    Fingers crossed!

    Hi All
OH spoke to his brother to get the details from him of the job and what he needs to do. Apparently he has got to sign up with a particular agency (and mention that he’s his brother!) and that the job will be on temporary to permanent basis. His brother did say to me, though, that it is about 90% certain that OH will get it and it will start soon – sounds quite positive doesn’t it?
It leaves OH with a little bit of a dilemma if he gets offered the other 2 jobs but, as he says (and I wholeheartedly agree with him!) the job at his brother’s place is by far the better option, because it is full time hours and is also fairly easy to get to. The care home is local but it is only part time – a twilight shift. I know he is worried about what to say if he gets offered the other job (the one he was interviewed for yesterday), but I told him just to be honest with them – that he has just heard that he might be offered a full-time job so he wants to wait to hear about that first before he makes a decision. He would be well-suited to that job, but really full-time hours would be preferable.
OH has got some gigs coming up and when we were talking last night he said that he would come clean about these to say that he wouldn’t be able to work those nights (the job at OH’s brother’s place is nights). I strongly advised him not to do that because they could decide to not take him on if he is not going to be committed to the hours he is meant to be working. When it comes down to it, disappointing though it may be, paid work has to come first! I think he saw the sense of that!
Anyway, we will have to wait and see.
In other news, I gathered all my money up last night – ‘float’ in my Avon purse, change in various tubs, the remains of my £2 coin collection (sniff!) - and it would appear that I will just have enough to cover the payment I need to make to Avon. Also I should be getting rid of another delivery today – I phoned the customer last night and she is coming to bring the cash to me this morning. That will be another £28.50, so that will definitely help!
I think that is all the news for now. I will update on yesterday’s to do list in a separate post, then I will put together today’s list.
    Byeeeeee!

    Right then, today’s to-do list:
    · Play free bingo tonight on Gala
    · Investigate other free bingo opportunities
    · Do surveys
    · Do some Avon admin (if I can do a little bit every day it won’t seem so onerous!)
    · Clear one of my boxes of ‘stuff’ in my bedroom and find a home for everything in it (even if that is the bin!)
    · Nag OH about Halifax bill that needs paying tomorrow! (Have already left him a note to that effect on the fridge).
    That’ll do I think!
    Bye all!!
