    Hi All

Sorry I have been a bit quiet for a few days. On Saturday evening OH hogged the laptop all evening so I couldn’t get back on. Then on Sunday I had a horrid sicky headache all day which I couldn’t seem to shift, so the last thing I wanted to do was look at computer screen. Then yesterday morning the headache turned into a migraine so I definitely couldn’t use a computer and had to take the day off work. I feel very tired today but otherwise O.K.

It looks like the job at OH’s brother’s place is a goer – he has to go in to the agency tomorrow to register and then will probably start on Thursday. This means he should be working Thursday, Friday, Saturday (12 hour nights) and then will be off 3 days before working another 3 days and so on. :j

He is going to be packing plenty into his days off and personally I think he is nuts! He should be working on Saturday night and then on Sunday he will go down to London for a rehearsal on the project he is working on with his friend. He will be rehearsing Sunday and Monday and then will come back on Monday night. Then he should be working again on Wednesday night. He has just been offered an audition for a panto and he has decided he is going – that’s on Thursday and then he is working again on Thursday night. Apparently he thought about turning it down but then found out it would be 3 months work so he is seriously considering going. 3 months work versus what could be indefinite work at his brother’s place – no contest as far as I’m concerned. Anyway, who am I to say?! He is going to be pushing it to even get there and back in time and he will have to sleep on the coach and/or train because he won’t have time to come home in between.

With any luck, after the next few days, he will realise that it is far too much to even attempt! I worry for his health, as much as anything. The reason he had a nervous breakdown was because he worked too much and didn’t get enough sleep. I have said all this to him so I hope some of it filters through!

Anyway, in other news, after a quiet time for a little while I have now got another 2 Amazon sales – woohoo! :j So I will package those up tonight to post tomorrow. I have also had another email from them to say I have a payment on the way – that should hit my account on Friday I think. I managed to get quite a lot of new listings done on Saturday – I have still got a few to do but I am getting there, slowly but surely. Once I have finished with the boxes of books (about ½ box to go now) I will have another look at my CD collection to see what could go – I might try Play for them though, we will see!

Both of my balance transfers have now gone through so I can now start directing the other of my ‘make a payment a day’ payments to LTSB instead of Egg. I made a few extra payments to my other cards which went out yesterday so my total for this challenge is now £19.07. Every little helps!

Once OH starts working I am going to get him to pay me his contribution to the household bills – I worked it out at approx £330 per month not counting food or the bills that he already pays.

On that subject, I think I forgot to mention that he did actually manage to pay the Halifax bill. So the sofa at his Mum’s will remain cold for the time being!! :D

My Avon order came this morning. It is not as big as last time, mainly because I missed out on getting any orders from work because I was off on annual leave. Oh well, the next one should be better. Also, it won’t be long before we get on to the Christmas books  which should see my sales soar!! :j Anyway, tonight’s job will be bagging up all my deliveries ready to start doing tomorrow. I also need to finish getting my books ready to go out – this shouldn’t actually take too long because I did most of it yesterday evening, all I need to do is put the books in plastic bags and then they are done.

While I was watching some of the Olympics at the weekend I did some work on my spreadsheet – in pencil on print outs of the relevant pages (individual sheets for some of my credit cards, which needed updating). I have forgotten to bring them with me today so I must try to remember to bring them with me tomorrow so I can add them to the spreadsheet.
I managed to do a bit of housework over the weekend, including clearing another cardboard box of stuff in my bedroom. I also cleared and cleaned the top of my chest of drawers in my bedroom – a job that was badly overdue as it tends to be a bit of dumping ground (probably like Hypno’s dining table! :D ). I am getting there slowly!

I am thinking of doing a housework rota, but I think I will wait until DS is back before I do it – I want to get OH and DS involved in devising it as I think it is more likely to succeed if I get their agreement beforehand. Wish me luck – I am going to need it!!

Right I think that is all the news for now. I will do an update on my previous to-do list in a separate post before doing a new one for today.

    Bye for now!

I have tried to edit my previous post to include some spaces in between paragraphs but it won't let me do it. Don't know why! I will try again later at home.

Today’s to do list looks like this:
    · Bag up Avon order
    · Finish getting Avon books ready to go out
    · Parcel up two books sold via Amazon ready to post tomorrow
    · Do some surveys
    · Do some washing
    · Sweep kitchen floor (if I can locate the dustpan and brush)
    · Mop kitchen floor
    · Finish inventory of kitchen food cupboards (I forgot to mention this, but I started doing this at the weekend to see what storecupboard ingredients I have got lurking that could be turned into meals)
I think that will do to be going along with!

    LOL!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
The missing dustpan and brush is a bit of mystery but I suddenly had a revelation this morning – I seem to remember the last time I used it was to sweep the bathroom floor, so I bet I have shoved it in the bottom of the airing cupboard. If so, there will be no excuse not to do the kitchen floor tonight!

    Hi All
I have just got back from a leaving do where I had a couple of glasses of wine, so forgive me if I don’t make much sense now! I think I shall float through the rest of the afternoon!
Today’s to-do list is to do my Avon deliveries this evening and whatever else I can summon up the energy to do!
OH has had a horrendous day. He went to sign on at the agency for the job at his brother’s place. The bloke at the agency gave him directions where to go but unfortunately neither he nor OH’s brother thought to tell him the name of the agency! OH has only ever been down this sort of route employment-wise once before – for a large firm who had their own agency on site – so it never occurred to him that the name of the agency was not the same as the name of the employer. He asked directions and got sent in the wrong direction twice, so ended up being half an hour late so missed his appointment. He has got another appointment tomorrow afternoon. The trouble is that he has made plans based on which days he will be working and which days he won’t be, which looks like is all going to be messed up now. I have advised him to go to his appointment tomorrow prepared to start work tomorrow night, if they want him to.
Anyway, I going to pretend to do some work (because I am not really going to manage any) for the next hour and a bit and then go home. ;)
I will probably post again later when I am a bit more sober!!

    Hi All
In the latest news from the PigginSkint household:
OH’s brother is being a right a**e – he had a right go at OH for missing his appointment yesterday even though it was his fault for not giving OH the full information he needed! I have suggested to OH, and he agrees with me, that if an offer comes from the care home then he should take that and only stay at OH’s brother’s place for the minimum time possible. The care home is less hours but it is much more convenient (only a 5 minute walk from our house) and a lot less hassle. He can always get something else to supplement his income. The job at OH’s brother’s place is already leaving a nasty taste in the mouth and he hasn’t even started! Oh well, we will just have to see – he has got to go back to the agency this afternoon (now that he has the important details – name of the place, address etc) so we will just have to wait and see what happens. He won’t be able to start today – he has got too much else to do because he has wasted so many hours (he lost about 4 or 5 hours yesterday on his wild goose chase and lost another 3 or 4 on Friday trying to get through to a wrong number) so needs to get some things done (mainly Betterware). He plans to see if he can start next week as that would be much more convenient. With any luck he might hear from the care home by then!
I didn’t do any Avon deliveries last night (with the exception of my next door neighbour!) because it was absolutely chucking it down with rain. They didn’t desperately need doing yesterday so I decided to hang on until today to see if the weather improved – it couldn’t be any worse!
I didn’t mention before but I had a real shock when I looked at my Avon invoice the other day – the amount they want paying is at least double what I was expecting (nearly £400:eek: )! On closer inspection I noticed that about £100 of that is a charge for a Money Maker pack of a skin care product which I haven’t sold any of, so I can just to return that and claim the credit so I won’t have to pay for it. That’s fairly simple! Then I noticed that I have been charged for some other items that I have returned. I fished out the returns form and sent them an email quoting the barcode number of the parcel – they say they have no record of these items having been returned. Very annoying! So I have got to photocopy the returns form and send it to them then they will recredit my account. I hope that happens soon but I certainly shan’t be paying for it. The outstanding amount after that was still very high, which I couldn’t understand. Then I noticed that my last payment wasn’t showing (which it is now, I am glad to say). So I think, though I need to calculate it exactly of course, that the payment I shall have to make next time will be less than £100. Ah, that’s better!
Yet another leaving do is happening today, so in a minute I need to get ready to go, so I will do a to-do list a bit later.
    Bye for now!

    Hello ps

Been reading your thread now for a couple of days so thought I should come out from lurking in the shadows. I'm new to this site but loving it. Iam so impressed at your diary. Wish I could be as motivated as you but with help of these forums I am gonna clear all our debt and have a proper holiday next year. Started work on my spreadsheet already.

Got a question for you though (hope you don't mind and hope it's not too cheeky) slap me if it is; but how does your OH find Betterware? I'm asking as I'm due to start next week. Looking for a bit of extra money to hopefully pay for afforementioned holiday next year! How long has he been doing it and does he find it worth his while cash wise?

Anyway, best of luck with your endeavours and hope to hear from you soon.

J xx P.s. hope you don't mind people posting on your thread.
