I did a bit of sorting out of my paperwork yesterday and I discovered that I have got a couple of balance transfer deals due to expire this week. So what I did was to work out exactly how much of the current balance on the Egg card is mine and how much is OH's. Now that I have done that I will transfer the amount that is OH's to the Halifax card at 5.95% for life of balance (nearly all the balance on this card is OH's anyway and this is the bill that is responsible for paying). The amount that is mine I will transfer to my LTSB card a 0% APR until March 2009 - plenty of time to clear the balance as it is actually quite small (can't remember exactly, but less than £200).
Once I have transferred these balances I will transfer the Egg part of the Make a Payment a Day to the LTSB card instead.PigginSkint's debt free diary

One job that I plan to do today is to make a list of all the household expenses (mortgage, council tax, gas, electric etc) and then work out what 50% of all of these are. This is what OH has been getting away with not paying for the last 4.5 years and I intend to present this to OH to show how much he should be paying to give him a target for how much he should be earning.
He has been getting away with far too much for far too long and I intend to put a stop to it!
If he does actually manage this it should hopefully get rid of the seething cauldron of resentment (mixed metaphor I know, but it seems appropriate!!)that seems to be a semi-permanent feature in this house at the moment!PigginSkint's debt free diary

I'm back at work tomorrow - booooo! Well at least I am up to date with my washing and fairly up to date with my housework - only ironing of work clothes to do really. I think I shall just enjoy the last day of my holiday and do as little as possible today!!
DS is going to his Dad's tonight and they go to France on Wednesday. After tonight I won't see DS for 3 weeks - the Ex and I split school holidays 50:50. I don't know what day he goes back to school but DS will be back here in time to go back to school - I have got a couple of spare days annual leave still so I can have a bit more time off if necessary.PigginSkint's debt free diary

OH is in London today as he is working on a theatre and dance project with a friend of his. Because tonight's session will finish late he is staying over (they have found him somewhere to stay) and will come back tomorrow.
Luckily and very conveniently he has got an audition for an ad tomorrow - also in London and just round the corner from where he will be staying - and will return on the same bus he would have got anyway. That couldn't have been better planned if they had tried!
I think tomorrow will also be the restart of the daily timesheet - as I will be back at work it will make very interesting reading and should hit it home to OH how much I actuallly do!:D Might shame him into doing a bit more!!PigginSkint's debt free diary

Wow! It looks like I am not far away from my 1000th post!
I managed to get nearly all of my Avon done before I went away. All I have got left is a handful of deliveries I need to do at work. Work people will unfortunately miss out on the current book because I have to do the order by Wednesday night at the latest. Oh well, I am sure they will make it up with the next book.
Placing my new order will mean that I can update my sig for the Make £10 a day in August challenge with the commission earned for the last order.
One worry I do have is whether I will have enough to pay for my last order. Of course, with the money I will get for the last few deliveries that will help - I just hope it's enough. I shall just have to see what other bits of cash I can scrape together.
Oh, and just for the record, the state of play with the emergency fund is as follows:
Money left in ISA: £0
So there we are then - it has all gone. OH had better earn some money soon!PigginSkint's debt free diary

My latest payment from Amazon Marketplace sales has gone in and I have sold another 2 books which I will post tomorrow.
I have still got another 2 boxes of books to go through to see whether they are worth selling - including lots of Mister Men books, which being small and light should be worth listing, even for 1p, because the postage won't be much.
I think that's all for news for now! Ooh, the women's hockey is on now - always one of my favourites!
Bye for now!!PigginSkint's debt free diary

Hi All
Well, I am back at work today (oh goody…not!) and DS is now with his Dad for 3 weeks, so as you can imagine I am feeling distinctly down today.
Not really much in the way of ‘news’ to report today – did all of that yesterday! So here is today’s to do list (as well as work, you understand!):
· Contact my Avon customers at work to arrange delivery
· Pay cheques into bank account
· Parcel up 2 books sold through Amazon ready to post tomorrow
· Print off new timesheets for home and put on fridge
· Work out exactly how much money I need to cover my Avon payment that I need to make this week and work out whether I need to scrape some more money from somewhere and how I am going to do it
· Update spreadsheet
· Arrange 2 balance transfers
· Do a new snowball
· Do some washing
· Unload and reload dishwasher
· Clean kitchen (it’s not too bad so this shouldn’t take long)
That should keep me out of mischief for the day!!
Bye for now!PigginSkint's debt free diary

MOrning - glad to see that you have had a good holiday and OH has an audition.
Also good news re additional funds from Solicitors - I think it is as all us who deal with property are quiet and are archiving old files and therefore getting rid of any balances!0 -

Ah I see! I did wonder whether they might have had an audit seeing as it is now over 5 years since my separation agreement was signed. (Note to self - must sort out divorce!)PigginSkint's debt free diary
