I too was in the same position as Bozwold,, i went on autotrader after a newish van and ended up following the link for a loan,5 min after filling my details Ring Ring , Natasha from Scam Loans,,(Yesloan) The usual verbal malarky was said then she asked for my bank details and also my 3 digit pin ,, i told her that i am NOT making a transaction so why does she need my pin? she said it was for my "credit rating" or somewhere along them lines,,Like a !!!!!! i gave it to her, then she puts me on hold for 10mins saying that my app was being proccessed, Then a light bulb came on above my head with the letters S C A M! straight to the PC logged in to my bank and transfered all monies from said account to my other account before the £69.50 could be withdrawn,Natasha comes back and i told her that i dont want to go any further witth the app,,Natasha gets snotty,,so i tell her ive dimentia(i havnt and appologise to those that have) and no recollection of agreeing to a loan and that a majority of the details i told her are untrue,,to which she says im falseyfying details and its against the law,,,Sue me i say,,ive got dimentia,, it wont stand up in court!,,,,,She muttered something and hung up,now ive just got to get onto my bank and see if they can put a stop on Yes loans trying to take the money out at a further date....
Suprising how the brain functions when moneys involved!!!

I also stupidly paid the "admin fee" which i borrowed from my mother. This was over 8 months ago and still no word from yes loans. I have literally just got off the phone to them and the guy said that i should of recieved my cheque ages ago but he will make sure it gets sent out now, so we'll see. I now work for a loan company so i WILL get my money off them0

This was over 8 months ago
You had plenty of time to follow the correct procedure (you must know it if you work for a lender).
Write for a refund - no joy = 30 days (iaw the T&C)
Formal complaint = 8 weeks
Complaint to FOS = Refund will arrive.
Sounds like you've been messing about on the phone for far too long.0 -

If you complain to the FOS, make sure you have followed the company's complaints procedure, unless more than 8 weeks has elapsed. Any complaint to the FOS will cost the company around £400 which is the fee that the FOS charge the company to investigate. It is in the company's interest to settle before you take it to the FOS, so always keep that in mind. There are no costs whatsoever for you to make a complaint to the FOS.0 -
NO NO NO! Never Deal with this company they took £70 from my Credit Card and refused refund.
30 minutes on the phone trying to get a refund was hung up on after being told that in order to speak to a manager I would have to write in and ask for a call back. The manager refused to speak to me!
They advised in order to request a refund I'd Need to write in.
AND This call is only Happening because I applied for a loan on the 13/09/11 and no responce has been given. Todays Date 06/10/2011
Will update if i ever get my money back.
