Hi I have been reading a lot of these posts, and I tried to get a loan. I am a widow and selling my house but wanted a loan in meantime to tide me over and do a couple of jobs in my house! I aplied to yesloans and they took my £70 fee, fair enough I thought, worth it when I get the loan. Unfortunately everyone they sent my way have turned me down, saying either I am not working so cant have loan, etc etc. So far I havnt received one offer. So how do I go about get my fee back. I was willing to pay the fee no problem if I got the loan, but I havnt.0

I made an enquiry to yes loans yesterday. They asked me to pay money upfront which I told them I didn't have and didn't want to proceed. I was then passed through to someone else who asked me to open my email account and click on links etc. When I opened my email I noticed that it said something about approval for a £300 loan. I told the guy that I did not want a loan but he said just to ignore that as it was just people trying to sell add on's - we were only enquiring to see whether I would be able to get a loan. Once I done what he asked the line went dead as it was 6 o'clock (the first person I spoke to said they shut at 6). I received another phone call this morning asking if I wished to continue with the loan and I said no.
I have just checked my email to find an email informing me that £300 had been deposited into my account from Payday loans! I did not want this money, maybe I have been stupid by following the guys directions but I don't know what to do now. I'm in the process of applying for car finance through a dealer and I think might just ruin my chances.
Can anyone advise me what to do as the company wants me to pay back an extra £75, which I cannot afford to do!!
PLEASE HELP ME!0 -

Notify your bank of this scam and tell them not to let them take any money from your account.0 -
if you haven't touched the money then payday uk will take it straight back, then when you recieve your documents from yes loans just send them back saying you want to cancel everything. Also ring up customer services to check if a dated payment for the fee has been set up, just incase. I worked there and got sacked because I was telling people the truth, that they werent getting a loan and to just write in and get a refund. Some people do get loans so it's not a scam you just need to read the terms and conditions properly. But it's very few people the go away with the ammount that they applied for. If your unemployed or self employed then you wont qualify for any of the lenders apart from FLM loans who need a guarantor, so there's no point in even applying, and yes loans shouldnt be taking fees off those people knowing full well that they aren't going to get a loan.0

I just wish i'd looked on this site before paying my £69.50 charge in my attempt to get a £1500 loan. The call handler led me to beleive it was all sorted, all I had to do is sign the paperwork which was going to be sent through then 3-5days later the funds would be sitting in my bank account. Here I am now 7days later still no funds & £69.50 lighter. Everytime I called them the same recorded message 'wait time of approx 10mins' then in most cases 20mins later I would get to speak to someone. Finally today I managed to get to speak to someone after waiting on the phone for 25mins to be told the only option available to me was with FML loans who want a guarantor, I explained to the guy that i'd already said i cannot get a guarantor & his answer was 'well that's all there is available' I asked him what now, his answer 'you'll just have to wait then' I asked him about a refund & he has told me to write in but i'm less than optimistic that i'll get it. These people are just rip off merchants & the company should not be allowed to trade giving people false hope & promises.0
