Your mistake was believing any old twaddle spouted over the phone. It must have rang alarm bells how this loan seemed so simple.
Read my sig, it will tell you how you had absolutely no chance of cancelling your card in time.0 -
Advice needed.
After reading the reviews about Yes Loans, I was shocked. Yes loans are waiting for my admin fee of £79, like many others I came across Yes Loans via a search, got all the sales patter. Anyway can someone help.
They have my bank details, can they take out the money?
They have credited my account with £100 which I repay £120 in a month to improve my credit score.
After reading the shock stories I dont know if Im responsible for the admin fee. They havent got back to me regarding the loan I asked for but I dont need it now.
Can someone help?0 -
I too have been done by a loan company First Money Direct who also telephoned me, the oft are dealing with this, photo copy everything you have got , copy letters send letters by recorded delivery, theses loan companies can't keep getting away with this.I did not go any web site for loans, i was looking at Auto Trader about car finance so be aware they give your details out as well.0

Hi all, great advice, but for me, like most people who find this forum its probably a few hours too late!
i too am an idiot who fell for the yes loans fee. i really dont know why but i guess i was desperate..
anyway, my question is this;
i paid the fee and have recieved my forms to sign in the post, however i am thinking of just sending back a request for a refund for my 60 pounds, however if i were to sign the paper and see what kind of offers they send me would i still be liable to ask for a refund later on if it is predictably a load or twaddle?
many thanks people
p.s i did do a search for the same query b4 i posted but couldnt find anything0 -
You can request a refund if they cannot find a suitable loan for you i.e you have to reject what they find for you.
This won't be difficult as the loans you will be offered, only a madman would accept.
They will be able to retain £5 of your fee though, the rest, they should refund.0 -
Please do not use this company.
They purported to be a loans company during a phone call (misrepresentation) and offered me £3k when I found out that they had taken their fee and then passed me on ( which they get a referal fee for) I requested my money back. Currently in the process of issuing action in the small claims court.
If you want to speak to the directors their phone numbers are as follows:-
Keith Chorlton's own personal mobile number is 07836777777
Yes Loans Manager James Chorlton's personal mobile number is 07812037646
A.X.A Manager Lance Chorlton's personal mobile number is 0773428548
Give them a ring they dont like it when you call asking for your money back.
Thanks so much jmclean for posting this! I managed to get through to Keith Chorlton (the first number in the list) & like you said, he wasnt happy, he did though arrange for a full refund and the abuse he gave his receptionist was wild...why she is still there I do not know...maybe he pays her enough?
Anyway he put me through to Sarah Smith who is mentioned quite alot in threads around the net but I kept getting cut off. In the end he passed my number onto her and she called me!
I paid my £69.50 at 12.30pm this afternoon, by 2.45pm Sarah Smith was voiding my transaction... I am very pleased I googled Yes Loans Reviews but wish I had done it before I parted with my cash!!
Hopefully now it is the last I will hear about it, I think it might take a day or 3 to be sure the cash is back in my account...I will keep tabs on it and if you dont hear from me again, it made it back into my bank!0 -
i work for the Yes Group and have done there for a while, they are not a very nice company to work for but i got to keep paying my bills to feed my kids!!
. They do prey on peoples desperation which is not nice to do.
They have 80,000+ loan applications per month and do get about 20,000 acceptances, but YES they do ask you before taking a fee but we are told to ask in such a way that either you dont actually realise it or tell you so quick that its too late to stop it. Then we are told to delay any refund and always give excusses not to give it like writing in and then waiting.
They also tell you to take a small loan enhancement to improve your credit so you dont get turned down. That is actually crap because it wont help until this is paid off so it wont actually do anything to help you for your loan.
The owners are rich and dont give a crap about staff or what reputation thier company has. They have about 400+ staff and lose about 50 per month and hire about 50 per month its not good but until i can get a new job i am stuck.
Dont risk it unless you are desperate because the chance of you getting a loan is slim like i said only about 20,000 are accepted. the rate of interest is high but they are a sub prime lender so if you credit score is crap and you are desperate try them out0 -
I too have been bitten by these swines. I was looking up yes loans online as I was speaking to them as alarm bells were ringing about handing my card details over. Before I knew it I had the payment taken without saying a vocal yes of agreement, I grunted (which they take as a yes by the way so don't even make a noise over the phone to them or they take it as yes).
I wrote in to them immediately to get my refund via recorded delivery (Copying in the OFT and Citizens advise) and am awaiting the 30 day period to be over so I get my money back. I have just been informed however its 30 working days in their T&Cs but its not according to their website. Also you have to decline all their services before they will allow the refund to be actioned. When I questioned this and said I didn't want a sales pitch they said it wasn't a pitch they were trying to help me. I refused it and she said it may delay my refund unless I listen to them, so I will be on the phone tomorrow checking whether or not they are paying the refund by the 30th of April.
I am seething about this bloody company and hope they are shut down very soon, what they are doing must be illegal and if it isn't it should be made illegal as they are preying on the poorer people who may be so desperate for hope that they don't even think about it and hand over what is to them a lot of money. Evil B*st*rds!!!!!
Rant over and apologies. if you have any questions on getting your money back Then give me a shout as I won't let this rest till there is a check at my home address for £69.500 -

I call fake. I can believe that of the 80,000 people they speak to on the phone, 20,000 turn into a £69.50 payment. I don't believe that Yes Loans get 20,000 people a loan every month (if they actually did the chances of you getting a loan wouldn't be slim, they'd be 25%).
Also, you give yourself away as a fake by suggesting that they are a "sub prime lender". Yes are an upfront fee charging broker and don't lend any money themselves.0 -
'Credit broker', you little rascal, are you a competitor of Yes Loans? Come on now, it's nearly Easter, that's not what Jesus would have wanted, is it.New Years resolutions...don't get my signature removed and set up an A-Team style MSE crack survival team. P.S Apparently mrb1 and David 32 hate me. This makes me sad0
