  • Glad to see I am not alone, went for a loan with them and before I knew it they extracted £69 from my account had tried to extract £600 for a potential PPI claim which didn't make sense which I managed to avoid.

I had a loan approved in principal but after reading bad reports sent a recorded delivery letter cancelling the contract about 12 days ago, no refund as yet but reading the above posts don't think I am likely to.

I have been bombarded with phone calls from credit repair agencies, offered pay day loans, guarantor loans etc, I told one of them what had happened and she was very sympatheitic so it seems Yes loans have a bad industry reputation.

My credit rating is okay as well and in hindsight will be careful who I approach in future, I have secured the loan I wanted through a reputable financial institution now.

I am wondering if I should wait the 30 days or go straight to the ombudsman, I know they have received the letter.
  • I am in the process of going to court with these clowns.
Please email me any dealings anyone has had with them.
I have a large file of complaints people have sent me, and will be presenting this along side my claim. The more complaints the better the chance we have of shutting this organization down.

  • Hi, I was once scammed too by yes loans, about 3 years ago. i never chased up gettin the money back, i was in it up to my neck at the time as it was. my finances are all under control now and have been for a year, i havent applied for any loans or anythin for about 18 months but yes loans called me yesterday, as if i was a potencial customer... i told them i did not want a loan and hung up. then this morning i received another phone call from them. i said "i told u yesterday i do not want a loan, do not call me again" and hung up. when i finished work i looked at my phone and i have had 4 missed calls from them, all in one afternoon!!!!! i want them to ring again so i can go mental. i'm so frustrated i dont understand why they have started calling me again after years and callin me 4 times in one day! they have already had my 69 quid!!
sorry just felt the need to rant.
  • Well... guess what folks, as the name suggests, we've been duped too! After getting over the humiliation of telling our bank who told us rather patronisingly not to bee so stupid again. (Walk half a mile in my sole-less shoes before you have a go mush!) We decided to get even in our own way.

    1. Answer the phone to them. Why? It costs them and whilst you are on the phone to them they are not pestering anyone else.

    2. Mess with their minds. Be creative. Have fun. Keep them talking, tell them a life story. I've been a ballerina in desperate need of new dancing gear and all sorts.

    3. Leave them dangling on the phone for at least oooh, 5 minutes whilst you go and "find your bank details" .

It doesn't get your money back or answer the much deeper question of exactly why a company with a credit license can get away with it but it will cause them a modicum of grief and make you feel a little more like you're on the winning side.

  • I very nearly fell victim to this last year, I'd been looking on price comparison websites for a loan for a motorbike (£3000) and Yes Loans actually called me themselves (unsure who gave them my details). The man on the phone verified the few details he had and took a few others and actually gave me a false quote! He told me the full repayment amount, length of loan and all the monthly repayments etc was a really good deal so I said I'd go ahead with it... he waited a small amount of time then told me he was happy to say I'd been accepted. But then he asked for my card details... I asked him why and surely he would need my bank details to pay the money into my account, but no, he said this was to pay (you've guessed it) a small admin fee. I asked him outright if he was a broker and he swore no, he was definitely a lender. Alarm bells were ringing by this point and I told him I did not have the funds in my account right now but could he call back in a few days? I haven't spoken to them since and glad I stuck to my guns!

Didn't get away scot free mind, I was harrassed constantly by calls and texts for quite a few months after their call as they must have sold my details... ah well...!

They seem OK to me, and so easy to apply through. I just made my application under the name of "Mr yesgirls suckco**s" and was instantly accepted. They tell me they will be in touch immediately.

Damn, I just realised I gave them the number of the local police station :-)

Can we assume your bad credit is due to not repaying money you owe in the past?

Everyone can see you don't repay the money you borrow, but you are looking for a decent, honest company to give you a loan???

Can you see the flaw in your plans???
