  • Actually, I have never heard about yes loans. There is such a variety of different kinds of loans today that everyone should be very attentive while learning the terms and conditions of lenders not to get into trouble.

Hi spammer, bye spammer. :spam:

(I don't think you will get much business from your 'homepage' on here as it is a UK based site.:rotfl:)

Can we assume your bad credit is due to not repaying money you owe in the past?

Everyone can see you don't repay the money you borrow, but you are looking for a decent, honest company to give you a loan???

Can you see the flaw in your plans???

    This made me laugh, thx.

Sorry but i couldn't help noticing your posts on the noworriesloans, yesloans ETC.

I just happened on them looking out for a friend.

Been looking out for a friend. Need i say, he was scammed, duh, i mean he was so silly but of course, he will say otherwise.

He is now reading your posts and concuring with me (and you of course).

Thankyou for stating the obvious to him in a way i couldn't! :)

    Hello fellow duped people.
Imagine my outrage, turned down everywhere for a loan because im self employed and have never had credit in the past. Only to be offered a loan by YES Loans UK and NIZ financial etc. Finally, an apparent light at the end of a long debt filled tunnel... And then to be told, after paying a brokers fee... err well actually you dont qualify for this loan amount, or, we need to take a comission fee.
How disgusting of them to pick out the desperate and then take what little they actually have... Jus plain nasty if you ask me. For those trying to get money back, heres my letter if you need help writing one.

    Your Ref No:

    REFUND MY MONEY

    Dear Sir Madam,

I am writing to you today to confirm with you that I would like a full refund of the £99.99 taken from my credit card. This transaction was processed on the 17th December 2010.

My decision to opt for a refund is because I believe your services were sold to me under false pretences. During the telephone application, to which I add, you made first contact, I was told that a lender was in place and was happy to proceed to lend me the amount I was after. I was even told an APR and monthly repayment. I was very wary of providing you with my personal details, however, on the trust that I would be sure of receiving the loan amount I was looking for, I went along with it. I even commented on the fact I would be short of funds, with it being so close to Christmas. I am now very much aware that the application is not finalised and there is no guarantee that the lender will actually go through with the application, leaving me £99.99 out of pocket. Thus not making my life any easier at all. Not to mention the current total cost of 65 minutes worth of waiting, on hold, to speak to an administration advisor.

I have become aware that you are not the only company to offer this kind of ‘service’ and I am outraged at how you can prey so carelessly on the people who so desperately need financial help. Have you ever thought maybe it would be better taking the money once you have actually provided them with a loan?

I have spoken to Trading Standards and the FSA who have informed me of my rights as a consumer. It is also clearly stated on your terms and conditions that “Under Financial Services (Distance Marketing) Regulations 2004 you have a right to cancel your application within 14 days of receiving these Terms and receive a refund.” I would like to exercise this right, and therefore, would ask you to refund the money back to me within 30 days of receiving this notice. Delays and disregard for this letter will result in further legal action.

Should you wish to discuss this matter, please feel free to contact me using any of the above methods.

Reading p1peys post, I have to point out a few serious, glaring problems. His letter is likely to get you into more trouble, rather than be acknowledged as a refund request by Yes Loans - or indeed any other company that will do everything it can to hold on to your money. Here is his letter, with a few of the more personal chunks sliced out, corrections to various mistakes made and amendments to ensure there is no confusion about the letter's purpose. Your letter is fine for the most part P1pey, but if your going to offer people a letter to send in for refunds, it ought to be a letter that should be applicable to any Yes Loans customer requesting their refund.

    Your FULL name
    Your FULL address and postcode

    To whom it may concern,

As instructed by your terms and conditions I am writing to you today to inform you that I would like a refund of the £69.50 paid for my application. This transaction was processed on insert date here.

As per your terms and conditions, I expect my fee to be refunded within 30 days of your receiving this letter.

To write anything more elaborate is to misunderstand what is done with these letters. The person who opens it will read the reference number, accept it as a written refund request, note its receipt and add it to the refunds list. Railing on about why you wanted to cancel is pointless, you are one of just 30-50'000 applicants per month who have almost all been disappointed for a variety of reasons.

Things to avoid doing in these letters include:
    • Providing incorrect amounts paid for your application, as done by p1pey above - you should know how much you paid. You will have been told this when paying, and it will appear on your bank statements. They do not care about your interaction with any other company.
    • Rattling on about how misleading / evil / sinister the company is. Applications are invariably made directly through the website, or through websites which put you through to their website. Applying to Yes Loans requires your ticking the box agreeing to their terms and conditions online beforehand, or requesting a call from them through a website with readily available terms and conditions. They genuinely do not care how, why or when you feel you were mislead. Ranting is unlikely to even be read. You might feel better airing your grievances, but your just wasting good ink.
    • Waving the FSA, FOS and consumer rights flags. Again, they don't care and are already well aware of the potential ramifications of not processing your refund. Their terms and conditions are already made within the bounds of your rights and the consent of their regulators.
    • Legal threats - especially when using the word "further" as p1pey did. Your refund request is not a legal action. But stating this implies that you have already instigated legal action, and you are likely to be denied your refund as they await your legal challenge - something which they are likely to take the maximum period legally possible to even acknowledge from you. A challenge you will have stupidly informed them of in writing, and will not be able to follow through because you claim to have started legal proceedings before even requesting a refund. Just don't do it.

Before you send this letter, you should ensure that you have declined their lenders offers - especially the FLM offer that is provided to all their customers. Not doing so will cause a delay in your refund as when approved in principal by one of their lenders, you have an open application. They will often simply close your application for you, though they may instead start a new 30 day period. You should also make sure they are aware of your current address and postcode, because the refunds are sent by post.

After you send this letter, you should bear in mind that the royal mail is beyond their control. Your letter is sent by post, your refund will be sent as a cheque by post. You need to allow time for postage of both. The refund being issued by a cheque is non-negotiable. They may issue a refund in whatever form they please. If they wanted to send a marching band carrying your refund entirely in jars filled with pennies, they could. Your letter (first class or not) may take 3-5 days to reach them. Their cheque may take 3-5 days to reach you.

Simple logic dictates you should wait 35-40 days after sending the letter before contacting their customer care if you've not received the cheque - which is likely to be because you have not declined all of the lender offers you received, did something stupid in your letter or the letter was not received. In the first two cases, the refund would be sent out that day - in the latter case, again making clear the royal mail are beyond their control, you will have to write in again and repeat the above 30 day period. When you do receive your refund, it is likely to be for the amount you paid minus £5. This is the fee they allowed to charge and pursuing it is unlikely to get you anywhere, and certainly not going to be worth the effort.

  • I contacted Yes Loans yesterday, received a call prompt following day. Advisor very ameanable told me everything I wanted to hear. Advised I had been accepted for a loan with their lender (would'nt say who), 5k over 12 months, repayment £532.76, very surprised how easily they agreed to accept me. We went through 3 yrs work, address and bank dtls history & asked for card dtls to security check me. Advisor was speaking so quickly I almost missed him signing me up for a payday loan (be careful not to let the word "Yes" leave your mouth), He pratically told me I was a shoe in. I asked for time to think, he called me back 3 times in 3 hrs chasing payment of the admin fee to progress my application, he advised loan funds would be in my account circa 2 wks, he is now calling me back tomorrow at 4pm for a decision. Yes Loan advisor was willing to tell me anything to get my acceptance,I asked A LOT of questions, there was no metion of risks or possible failure to secure loan, advised I would get admin back in form of chq in 3-4 wks if I cancelled or was not happy. They would not accept payment upon them actually securing a loan for me, they needed that money NOW. I was so worried about their approach & them taking the funds of my card without my authorisation I cancelled my debit card within 5 hrs of calling them.

I was also told in addition to your £69.50 admin fee they also take a % of your monthly repayment, so I guess there are people that have received a loan through Yes, unfortuantely the people who have been unsucessful appear to just get messed around, they cant make any money off monthly repayments because you have no loan but they can hold on to the admin fee and hope you get fed up with chasing or sit on the accumalated admin charges gaining interest.

I am not saying I would not have got a loan but I sincerely doubt it. How ironic I am watching the programme Hustle, Dosh4U.
  • Trust me mate, there is more chance the germans invading poland again than Yes loans giving you a loan!!!
