well not trying to question the size of the stick, or the volume of the bucket, but i cant believe there is room to have sex, when wearing the mooncup - as it only just sits inside, and if it got pushed up deeper, would be harder to remove, and the stem must hurt, surely?0

Its funnel shaped, and it sits over the neck of the womb so it would be extrememly painful for the man, and near on impossible for the woman.
You can use the mooncup for years. Its made of quality latex that will withstand a great deal of boiling/washing.

the claim is that one will last for at least 10 years - they are made of silicone - altho i suppose it depends how you look after it with the cleaning etc cos it does need to be properly cleaned at the end of each period.:rotfl:five children? I must be mad........ :rotfl:

I have an injection for contraception every 3 months, and havent had any periods for over 5 years, the ultimte money saver in this area, even the perscriptions are free. there is one drawback, its not suitable if you want more babies soon ie within a year0

I used to have really infrequent and irregular periods - I could go for 3 months or so in between. I then had that implanon implant in my arm and I can now be on for 8 weeks or more, with sometimes only a week off in the middle!!! That was why this Mooncup interested me as I spend a fortune on disposable sanitary products.Accepted offer on our house - Sept 2006

You can't have sex while wearing the Mooncup, but there's a similar thing with a different name that's smaller and shaped like a contraceptive cap so you can wear it while having sex.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

I have to say this sounds very good, but slightly icky! How do you clean it again - boil it?
The things you learn on here eh?"It was not my intention to do this in front of you. For that, I'm sorry. But you can take my word for it, your mother had it comin'."
