Might have to give it a go! Sounds ok once you get used to it. Would save alot of money if it lasts a couple of years!

I would like to say to anyone thinking of trying the Mooncup-DO! I have been using mine for three years now and would not dream of going back to conventional sanitary protection. Another plus point of them is (hope no-one minds me saying this) you can have sex while wearing one! They really are fantastic give them a try and persevere because they are worth it!

I agree the mooncup is definitely worth it. Needs changing far less often than other methods so good if you are out and about for the day.
  • glad i am not the only person who thinks they are fabby! :D

if you are thinking about it - get one - if you hate it send it back! [try doing that with tampax..... ;)]

Is it ok overnight, swimming etc. Anything where you not in a vertical position? Does it not leak - and don't get the sex thing - does it not have a stem on?

I can vouch for overnight and swimming - both fine, infact never leaked yet which is more than I can say for tampons. It is big and has a tight seal :o but can't say on the sex thing - I didn't realise that either.

is fine for all those activities...... not tried sex with it in tho ;) it basically acts in the same way as a tampon - it only needs changing about every 12 hours once you get used to it :D

to be honest - biggest danger for me is forgetting that it is in :) cos i really don't notice it is there now - is really comfortable and i honestly think my periods don't last as long since i have been using it [cos it catches the blood rather than pulling out natural fluids]

I really wouldn't use anything else these days

  • Hmmm, me too! I am quite squeemish and can't even bear the thought of using tampons after I had my son, so don't think I could do this. Brill idea though esp. when you think about waste etc.
