On the contrary, our society (in our times) is more equal than at any times in the history since the stone ages, we do not own each-other, we educate everyone, we treat everyone, we can all afford decent habitat, etcThrugelmir wrote: »Less and less in distribution of wealth .....0 -

Actually that is alone is enough to persuade me to vote for them. Currently 40% tax starts at ~£42k which is too low. A highest tax rate of 31% is excellent idea.

It's an idiotic idea! That 31% included 11% NI so effectively it's a 20% band, how do you propose to raise enough tax revenue to run the UK with a max 20% tax band?Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

I'm not sure but it would be damned refreshing to try!0 -

Maybe because that's the UK is becoming a low skilled workplace. Where its easier to make money by speculating on house prices or collecting benefits. Than learning a real skill or trade, become productive and generate wealth and employment for others.
Don't forget that the majority of us are immigrants. Few of us have Saxon ancestors. We have Italian, Nordic and French blood in abundance.0 -

An interesting (but incorrect) observation, much as it is still touted by the usual suspects. DNA analysis shows a sometimes astonishing degree.of shared ancestry.
Bryan Sykes' work on the mitochondrial DNA of 'Cheddar Man' really should have nailed this one.

I would say that we are becoming low skilled workplace because we are as a society are becoming to lazy to do hard-work; we are gladly demanding from others (government etc). The entitlement culture is what generated 3 million plus unemployed. The same entitlement culture stops our children from working hard on their education, they want it easy and they are given things to easy, they do not work hard to learn maths and science(to become innovators and engineers), is to difficult....... they rather learn how to sell things becoming estate agents0
