Seriously though Kerri if you need advice pm me
Thanks Starnac, my OH is born and bred Cardiff so he has ideas of where I should move to. I'm thinking Penylan for the convenience of the M4 and because it's pretty there, although pricey...but then again I can get a 3 bed house with garden there for the same as I'm paying for half a 2 bed flat here, so pricey depends on how you look at things :)

I was incredibly pleased when I walked over the footbridge at Cogan, nodded "alright" to a bloke and he said "hello" back :) don't get that in London town!

I'm willing to have a punt on a few parts of the valleys that aren't particularly nice.

    Pontypridd.
    Merthyr.
    Caerphilly.

Then again, I've lived in some rather grimy parts of Swansea too, and areas that look bad aren't always the worst places to live.
Jakes-mum, my OH lived in Ponty for a bit it's where his uni is and I didn't see much wrong with it, although his housemates camper van got nicked when he went on holiday for a few weeks, so maybe it is dodgy, must be all the skint students!

    Everybody is awesome :)

Now times that amount by the average interest payment of 20% and what does it make? How much have we clawed back from the creditors for this year alone? AMAZING!!!

Oh and I find a great quote with regards to peoples opinions:

Without meaning to anger you.....what's a clarks pie?

On a debt free note, I now feel a little bit stuck with my debt busting.... I have no idea how to reduce my OD without incurring a charge of £25 each time which I obviously don't want so trying to work out how I can overpay to that now? Maybe I need to filter money into a savings account until it equals the same as the OD? Or pray for a winfall *sniggers* The DCA can still receive their nominal amount each month as they don't charge me interest. Any hints or tips for the OD welcomed.

Don't worry about it, when I first had my LBM about 5 years ago, the total figure was around the 40k mark:eek: (can't remember exactly and I'm now down to £17,500). It's shocking now to think how we ever spent that much money - where did it all go? We've got nothing really to show for it, which is the sad thing. Think on the bright side that things can only get better from now on!

I just realised last night that if I manage to stick to my debt free plan, I will be debt free two years from today!:j:j:j

It seems to be a long time coming, but reading and posting on this thread when every payment goes out really helps me to see that things are getting better and shows me how far along we've really come! So thank you everyone for the support!:A

Another payment went out this morning (why they can't all go out when they're supposed to I don't know :p), only minimum payment but still...
