With regards to places to live, I suppose it depends on what part of Wales your looking at, DH and all his family are from Cardiff, Penarth is a lovely town though expensive, Cardiff Bay has had so much work done to it and the flats are lovely inside with nice views (our nephew lives there :rotfl:). Not a huge fan of Dinas Powys, and some parts of the Valleys look rough, Couldnt help with any other area im afraid, we rarely go out of that area :o

*Coughs* and which parts are you talking about? Obviously not the part I live in. I am SO hurt *struts off very dramatically* :rotfl:

Seriously though Kerri if you need advice pm me

I'm willing to have a punt on a few parts of the valleys that aren't particularly nice.

    Pontypridd.
    Merthyr.
    Caerphilly.

Then again, I've lived in some rather grimy parts of Swansea too, and areas that look bad aren't always the worst places to live.

I keep meaning to be more active in this thread, I'm sure if I was it'd help me make the right choices and bring my debt down a bit quicker than I am doing already! Still, it's on it's way down, will just need a sprint for the finish line if I carry on at this slow rate.

Well done to everybody though (especially to those who are completely debt free already - AMAZING!), it's incredible that such a thread to inspire so many people to get themselves debt free! :j

your updates and tips I've found very motivational, so here goes to joining the xmas challenge to pay off my overdraft, with a plan to get rid of the rest by May 2013!! If we're still doing numbers, I'd like one of those please although as I'm starting from today I have only one total ;)

We're sooo close to 50% I can taste it :D

I know, I cannot wait until I hit that 50% mark, I feel like I've been treading water a bit for the last couple of months but I haven't! Should be at 51% on next payday and I'm soooo excited. We're getting there hun! xxx

Well today was the first of the month. Seems to be on the 1st that most of my business expenses appear out of nowhere. Anyway, not the worse day, sun eventually came out for a while. Tomorrow i have a really good day planned, all i need is some nice weather again and it will be perfect.

Looking at upgrading my phone....is an iphone 4s really all that? Is it worth the money? May look at buying one and have a sim only contract.
