well, this evening I've laid seeds in the OH's head that he should do a masters. I've also asked him to move in with me when I move to Cardiff, but he's got the fear so have told him its very MSE ;) I didn't mention MSE to OH though, he'd think I was being crazy money saving lady instead of loving girlfriend

Sneaky there Kerri, I like it! :D

    Are you feeling better Jemma?

Yes, I had my first proper meal since Sunday and it stayed down and I actually feel a lot better. I spied a kitkat though and had half before thinking this tastes rubbish and got an apple instead. Now I've got a blinking headache!
I'm going to ask my local barnardos collection point if they need any help... just need to do something. Mr S doesn't see the point as I should be looking for temp work, but it will just give me something to do.

circle is Ladies Circle and started off as a social group for wives of members of the Round Table. They are social groups and have events, and raise money for charity etc etc. Most Circles are attached to a Table and they help each other out with events. Nowadays though I don't think you have to be with a round table guy to join. Mr S organised the local public fireworks night last year and raised over 10k for charity :)

Wow, that sounds fab, 10k for charity is an awesome achievement... x

MrsNoMoney – Hello!!! Welcome to the team, sorry I’ve not said it before but you’re now on the first page with your very own number. Fantastic about the no smoking hun YAY!!! BTW, how did it go finding a coin machine that didn’t charge? x

Mrsyallop – Hey when’s your holiday and where are you going??? x

His missus – you are still doing so well on the weightloss front 23/70lbs!!! Almost at the 40% milestone on the debt busting malarkey too... Whoop Whoop! x

Affordmylife – Fantastic payment, you are sooooooo close to 50%!!! x

Nctmum – Wow, over a grand in a month, that’s awesome! When is your daughter’s party hun? x

Recurrent-ostrich – definitely have a bit in the budget for pretty/entertainment things. If you have no life or treats then you are far more likely to fall off the wagon so allow yourself some pocket money and try to get into the habit of saving for something you like as it will get you into the right frame of mind for once you are debt free x

Barbeduk – congrats on reaching over 50% paid off!!! What a superb result, you should be enormously proud of yourself x

Canucksfan – Is your mum enjoying her visit? How long is she over for? I bet it’s lovely to hear a british accent around you again. Well done to your son on winning the big run race and superb paid off total, yowzer, you’re steaming ahead now! There’s no stopping Canucksfan!!! x

Fallenwiccan – how is your OH? Still managing to get veggies in him? There are sooooo many weird and wonderful ways to hide them... x

Jakes-mum – how are you and Miss Lily doing??? Come on girl, you are sooooooo close to that elusive 40%!!! Thanks for the tip on scheduling, still a bit confused but that’s cos I’ve been super naughty and not been on ebay for....I’d rather not say! X

Miss Information – you should know by now that EVERY payment is a great payment. We don’t care if it’s 1p or £1000, it’s all money that you would normally have spent on stuff!!! Have you settled in on your new role now hun? X

Savingforarainyday – wow you sound like you’ve been mega busy and for such a fantastic reason especially given that so many people are out of work. So on behalf of the british population I thank you x

Kerri_dfw – how was the craft fair that you looked at? Anything interesting? Think you’ll have a good lot of buyers? Have they fixed the gas leak yet? Is it safe? X

SpagBol – Whoop whoop on getting rid of your Santander card, you’re doing soooooo well hun. X

Lemonpopsicle – don’t worry, you’ll be at the 50% paid off in no time and we are still in April yet! X

FREEZ – It seems that Feb-Apr seem to be the toughest months to stay on the straight and narrow for all of us, the key is that you keep coming back and plodding on again, be proud of what you are doing x

InsertWittyName – ok, you win. I don’t think I can catch you now...unless...maybe if I could be sneaky somehow...

Choclover and Mrs Addicted to Spending– thank you so much for encouraging and congratulating so many of us, you’re both super stars x

Forgottendreams – You are a THIRD of the way through your debt busting, I hope you’re proud of yourself hun!!! x

Lizight – oooh when is payday??? X

Camuk81 – I agree, you couldn’t waste that bottle of wine! Glad you had a good if somewhat emotional day today, it’s always good to know that you were liked, respected and will be missed x

Psychopathbabble – have you heard from any more jobs yet hun? Also, is your forum on the internet still weird? How bizarre! Oh Psychopathbabble, they are definitely not true friends hun, I’d much rather be on my own than have them treat me like that, you are lovely and they don’t deserve you X

Mumof3plusoh – sorry but getting excited about receiving your credit card bills is one of the weirder side effects of signing up for this challenge...! x

Antonia1 – oh hun, I really really hope he doesn’t mess you about. Please stick to your guns and don’t get involved with him again hun as he was seeing someone else before and he will do it again I guarantee you. I just want to give you a really big hug x

    Mrso2b and Kat10 – they are great payments you’ve made! X

Dd1981 – aarrrgghhhh you are soooooo close to 30% I bet you can taste it! X

Rosiest – such a short but positive post about how well you are doing, lovely to read and has given me a much needed boost to kick this debt some more! X

Fritterprincess – I am soooo impressed with how well you are doing, 50% is such a fantastic achievement and I bet it’s a great feeling finally having no credit cards x

Helen Pie – Awwww hun, you sound so down, I just want to give you a massive hug. It’s difficult enough trying to look after myself and pay my own debts off but I have no idea (and the utmost respect) for you all who have families and are managing to cope with juggling everything. I agree with one of the suggestions to just give him pocket money at least until your debts are paid off. It’s not nice having to do that in a relationship but you will both be better for it in the long run. Most couples (I am told, being an old spinster myself...) have different strengths and weaknesses that work really well together with some taking dominant roles for looking after certain things whilst the other is better at different things. Maybe look at things that he takes charge of and see this more of you balancing that out? X

Loubie_lou – 21 days off sounds amazing and you sooooo deserve it, I really couldn’t do what you do! Looking forward to your big reveal!!! X

Rubywhatashmoo – lovely to hear from you again, loving that you’re still ebaying so haven’t lost your drive to make more money. You are truly converted! It’s good cos I’m sure I’m not the only one worried about how I’ll spend when I’m finally debt free... x

KissyKissyKaren41 – Welcome to the team hun, sorry to hear your run of bad luck but it’s great that you’re coming out fighting and not burying your head in the sand x

Bongelcat – would you like to join our challenge hun? We’d love to have you on the team x

Annelien – sounds like you’re going to be busy and have fun with all your mini trips away! Good for you x

Avogirly – well done on the straighters hun, I bought a pair of babyliss ones about 2 years ago (set with a hairdryer, 2 for £20 as I couldn’t afford anything else and my hairdryer had just broke and my straighteners kept burning me!). Anyway, I still have both and they work a treat! How did it go with the wedding photographer? X

Ruthy1604 – at least you’ve got light at the end of the tunnel with you finishing your large bill in May, from then on there will be no stopping you! X

Suzitiger – ooooh do you specialise in any single type of fitness? Don’t worry I couldn’t give up food! I just found it really interesting that he could do it without being dead after a few days! x

There's still not much between any of us to be honest, I've only paid off a few hundred more than you and I'm pretty sure you get paid again soon!

    Hope you're feeling better :)

I always think like this, DH's good at physical things, he can build anything, fix anything, whereas I have trouble figuring out which end of the screwdriver to use and am proud to be the only person at my school to ever be banned from using wood in a woodwork class :D. Im the mental one (in more ways than one) :rotfl:, I know where everything is, when everything needs paying, When MOT's and tax are due.

Its great when I get my 'lets do some house upgrading' ideas, I say 'right this is what I want' he then sorts out actually making it and I sort out actually paying for it :D We work well together :D

  • Pay day tomorrow which means payslip day today *yay* I'm an almighty £14.44 better off a month thanks to the tax code change. However I'm sure I should have started paying my Student Loan back this month and nothing has been taken. I know I shouldn't worry but I'm going to work out how much it is and set it aside because apparently they can be a right pain in the !!!!! if you should be paying back and don't.

To everyone asking OH is getting better bit by bit, I think he's better when I'm around as he wants to get up and do things, when I'm out at work he just stays in bed all day.

HDNL are going to try and redeliver a parcel for me, better be today. They said they tried to deliver yesterday but a) they left no card and b) OH was in all day and you cannot miss it if someone presses the buzzer, it could wake the dead.

Back on normal work shift today and tomorrow, out tonight and out tomorrow night, feel bad leaving OH stuck in the house but I need to do things, which includes finding the damn tickets for tomorrow eek!

Payday should be today but of course only one of my jobs has paid me. Getting paid for the other is like pulling teeth. Anyway despite that I'm declaring some more money off my overdraft as it's rent day too and my available balance is a lot friendlier than it was last month!
