I know, it's just even harder when I'm not working so not seeing anyone for days on end. Trouble is, you can't find new friends just like that...

I love the fact that none of them have the balls to reply. Mr S says that i need to try and make plans with them all, which I've tried to do a few times but again it's hard when I'm not working and they all are. It doesn't help that I think I'm depressed again although I really hate admitting it!

Aww Pyscho, I know where you're coming from. I moved jobs a few months ago leaving all my friends behind. Where I work now is much nicer (better job, better pay, less stressful) but there's no-one here I really click with in a friends-forever way. I'm the one who keeps in touch with those friends from my last job and often I feel they don't make the same effort in return. I can't get them to understand that maybe they only get 5 mins each morning to chat to each other at work but I'm getting to chat to them for one evening every two or three months and I know which I'd prefer! They're all " I'll sort something next month" or "I'll pop round for a brew/you pop to mine for a brew" but nothing ever materialises :(

I've (once again) invited them all round this Sunday for tea so no-one has to stay late or feel obliged to drink etc. all very casual. It's the 4th time I've done this with only 2 invites back :o

Chin up, psycho, if you can! xx

Hey everyone, sorry for not updating (and for not adding our lovely new members to our team yet!). So far since Sunday I've managed to eat a bowl of plain white rice, a slice of toast and a couple of Belvita biscuits... Back in work today though and trying to eat a jam sandwich bit by bit. My IBS kicked off this morning as well so not doing too well! I'm at a course tomorrow at another depot which is not ideal but I can't get out of it (boo hiss!). If I haven't lost at least half a stone this week then I'll be well miffed!!! I know I'd probably just put it all back on when I start eating again but I'd love to still delude myself for a few days...

As you can probably imagine, I've not been online so not managed to catch up on everyone's news yet. I hope you're all well and I will finally get up to date tonight and so our lovely new members can also have their very own number. You are already part of the team though so I hope you've been joining in!

I watched an interesting documentary about a very overweight American guy who decided to fast (controlled by a doctor) for 55 days. He just drank smart water which I think is normal mineral water but with some added nutrients in it and didn't eat or drink anything but that for nearly 2 months. He lost 41lbs in total and then they started to reintroduce him to food very slowly. It was interesting because I always thought your body would shut down long before this or at least do some serious damage. Any longer than this and he risked dying but it was really interesting looking at the science behind it and how well he was coping without food, he was just going on with his normal life and socialising!

Anyway, got to get back to work... xxx

    Hello everybody

I'm really enjoying this challenge. Today I have paid off another £4.18 to my next card.

I needed to buy some hair straightners yesterday, and really wanted some GHD's, but couldnt afford them. So I did some research and found a pair of Babilyss ones at Argos for £30.00. I also had loads of Nectar points, so I used them to buy the straightners. I'm really pleased with myself for not getting the expensive ones, and I'm sure the ones I've got will be just fine, plus they have had really good reviews so I'm fairly confident. Plus I never know what to do with the Nectar points, so I'm glad I've used some of them.

Tonight we are going to meet a potential wedding photographer. This is the first appointment in the run up to the wedding. Ekk! It's all getting real now!

    Hi all,

I've been really busy at work (and home) so have not had a chance to read everyones news so I hope you're all OK.

Its pay day today :j but I always find it quite depressing. I've paid all my bills & accounted for all my DD's & theres basically nothing left :(. I should be used to it as there never is anything left, but I sort of find pay day difficult.

    Anyway heres my update:

    #306 £4033.66/16779.81 24.03%

I'm a bit behind where I wanted to be at this point in the year, but I'll make the last payment on a very large bill in may, so June & onwards should be great;)

Oh and I put on another 1lb at SW this week. I always seem to put on when I start running Grrrrr

:( that's really horrible, when you're depressed things like that always seem to hurt more I find. They are probably all thinking 'S!!! we've forgotten to invite Psycho'. I personally wouldn't waste your time on them any more, it's not the first time after all. Perhaps have a go at volunteering somewhere with like minded/ aged people, join a club or something. Maybe see your doc if you think you are depressed. Chin up chicken, there are true friends about you just haven't met them yet. :)

Ooops forgot to say made a tiny payment to Mr Branson, from an extra bit of overtime money so new totals

This weeks mini challenge: sailor shower
This is a real challenge that'll save heating and water. You've got a total of 2 minutes water running time. In that time you have to have a full shower/wash, you're allowed to turn the water on and off as many times as you like but not allowed any longer than two minutes total :)

Haha Kerri as long as I can still have 2/3 showers a day I will survive this challenge. Unless mine are washing my hair I can be quick but I need to take lots because of being a sweaty fitness instructor :rotfl:

Ooooh and I think the timer should only start when its up to temperature lol

Awwwwww Jemma you poor thing, glad that you are slowly on the mend. Food poisoning is awful :(
I have heard about the smart water dieting thing before too. it works because the body goes into kitosis (not sure about spelling) where it uses the energy stored in fat to function. The whole reason we store fat is so we have a reserve store of energy so yeah this can work, but only under really carefully controlled conditions as it is also fairly high risk.

A big  to everyone, I have been reading all the posts via my daily email, psychobabble I hope ur broadband is fixed soon, fallen and jakes mum I hope ur family members are on the mend and starting to feel better.
His missus good to see you back and hello to everyone else that I haven't mentioned.

Its my PAYDAY today :j I haven't been updating totals for a while because I have really been struggling with money, BUT I have good news, my business is finally starting to make money, I have been paying my money into my business account and I am finally able to keep my own money separate from my business for the first time! :T

So today I have paid another £50 off my rent arrears which means that since my last update i have paid off £150 I am not sure what else has been reduced until I get all my bills for the month but i did get paid extra money so I will be taking up the payment a day challenge to shift some extra debt.

Wow Avogirly your well off the mark now, and good thinking with the straighners, very satisfying to get them for free! Good luck with meeting the wedding photographer, and remember they need your business too so don't be afraid to negotiate.
