Babble, If I was any closer I'd be coming round for movie night! But look at how well you are doing, nearly to the last two grand. You have race for life coming up!
I know, I know... but this is not the first time they have done it, and even if I said I can't afford it, it would still be nice to be asked.Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

Ugh Babble, who needs enemies? Its so demoralising to just be overlooked like that
Glad your OH is having a better time of it fallen
Ahh that bloomin 40%, its just taunting me isnt it  its like a saucy male stripper in a sleazy back club, it dances in front of me all seductive then slaps me hand away every time I reach for it :rotfl: (id like to add I have never been to a sleazy back club but the first 6 months of being housebound I watched ALOT of sex and the city :rotfl:)
Still no payments for me, not because I have no money but because that darned CC hasnt sent me ma bill! What do they think they are playing at? dont they know I need to give them money? I'm known for my bluntness so sorry if this offends babble, but they are not your friends. Real friends would not do this to you, believe me, like yourself this happened to me too many times to remember. I'd maybe start looking for other people to socialise withIn debt no more!0 -
I know you're all moaning about your OH's and how they are too impulsive when they spend, so can you give me a nudge in the right direction.
I haven't bought any gadgets in ages, since my phone renewed about a year ago, but I really fancy getting the new PS Vita. Normally when I get tech urges I usually give in, but I kind of know I shouldn't until all the debt is gone.
What would the DFBXmas guys do? Maybe my own Xmas present...DFW - DEBT FREEEEEE!

I would probably have to agree with loubie-lou on this one, if you're not getting invites then they're probably not real friends.
I guess its possible that it was simply an oversight, but that should become clear if you get an invite on the next night out.DFW - DEBT FREEEEEE!

Now not knowing your personal situation I can only give you my 'The Wife' answer:
Do you NEED it or do you WANT it? justify the expense to me? Justify us possibly going without food for the next couple of weeks to pay for it. (I'd actually subsidise 'us' for 'your children' but again personal circumstances). How much of your debt is from your gadget love? How will this new gadget make your life / financial situation better? Can you afford it without credit?
And my all time favourite . . . Will you still want it in 6 months time or will there be a new gadget you 'fancy'?
Yes my husband does hate having this comvo with me :rotfl: he has learnt never to use the phrase 'I really fancy *gadget*' and now comes to me with a thought out way to get his desire without it costing me from the budget. His last want was a galaxy tab, and we got it with his mobile when his contract was up, for less than his previous contract per month. The phones not that great but that was the sarifice he was willing to make and I was happy as I wasnt paying for the thingSPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -
Thanks jakes-mum, that was the logic I was looking for. I can't seem to get it through my thick skull myself.
It's definitely a want, and is probably going to go into the same cupboard as many other gadgets if I did get it.
It would probably be in the cupboard in six months time...it can go on the long list of stuff I've promised myself when I'm debt free. I think I'll be working just as hard once the debt is gone to get a new stereo for the car and a 3D Tv. Could also do with a new desktop PC.DFW - DEBT FREEEEEE!

What a great way to put it! Nearly choked!
Superheavy. I'm a gadget cheek and a wife! Normally its husband shouting at me! I'd be tempted to say wait it out and then start watching around christmas or even after for some last minute bargains. Saw and xbox 360 go for £40.00 the other day in full working order and a load of games! Ok not the same thing but I'm doing the same being very patient and waiting for a new phone.
Plus in two months I can upgrade if I won't and get a normal contract without any type of credit check! Seeing as my file is shot! Hurray0 -
I know, it's just even harder when I'm not working so not seeing anyone for days on end. Trouble is, you can't find new friends just like that...
I love the fact that none of them have the balls to reply. Mr S says that i need to try and make plans with them all, which I've tried to do a few times but again it's hard when I'm not working and they all are. It doesn't help that I think I'm depressed again although I really hate admitting it!Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

Hi all!
Found out today one of our debts was a little less than I thought, but to keep it simple I'm just counting that as paid (because it was paid at one stage just not counted!).
Still waiting to hear back from bloody DLA tho, 4-5 weeks to go
Anyway here we go:
#226 851.2 / 16904.29 :T
Would've liked to have paid more, but OH won tickets to Liverpool v Fulham so had to pay train and hotel - will be nice to be away for a night tho! And now he also went ahead and won tickets to the London premiere of "Safe" with Jason Stathamso another £65  in train tickets!!!! anyway, that's Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday next week sorted!
:j "Pay ALL your debt off by Xmas 2012" #226 £4243.5 / £16,904.29 :j
Determined to reduce the debts this year!
Affirmative thinking: I AM happy, I AM healthy, I AM slim and I HAVE money!0
