I needed today off work. All our boxes of [STRIKE]carp[/STRIKE] treasure have been safely stored back in the spare room. Kitchen is looking cleaner then it ever has and floors have been swept.

OH is looking much perkier today, we both had a really early night last night and I needed it, he said I never woke up once when he did. HE's had breakfast and had a wander around although he's back in bed now saying he's sore but in a good way from the walk about. Making us soup for lunch, haven't bought a blender yet but I did notice C*rrys gave us a 10% off voucher for small kitchen things in with the washing machine so may use that :p

I've already read one book this morning and I'm making use of my new B*se hifi, very chilled out day.

Hope everyone is well. No work means no spending on my lunch which is good :T

Glad your DH is feeling better and you are having a lovely chilled out day :)

Jakes mum- have you seen TinTin yet? It's a really good film, we all enjoyed it (although not sure it's out on DVD yet...) so can recommend that one.

Packaging up fleabay parcels takes FOREVER!!! I think I've spent 2hrs so far doing this *yawn* at least!!!
I'm heading off to meet some ladies this evening, OH's orders! He's concerned that I don't have any friends as when my HM went to Canada last week I was so lonely I was in tears half the time :( So OH has told me to go to the knitting and sewing subgroup of the W.I this evening. I shall report back as to whether it's all Jam and Jerusalem ;) I haven't forgotten about the purse pattern either, I've just setup my scanner and shall be doing that when I get back from the PO :)

Well I thought £30 a year for quarterly magazines, inspirational speeches, and a natter with people that make jam and cake could be fun. Plus it'll help give me inspiration for my sewing....if only I could decide on a shop name

I'm rubbish at names but can't you start with something simple like Kerri's Crafts? Or similar. I don't know.

Yeah, I've now emailed them to ask about groups in my area, I want to know if there are any that are particularly younger than others. I'm also going to a Ladies Circle meeting at some point to see what that is all about.

Ooh let me know how that goes. I shall report back about tonights meeting, I have bought some knitting needles and yarn and going to print off a pattern so I'm armed ready to go :D little bit scared though, I don't have much to say for myself recently.

I'm always scared going to new things. You will be fine though :-) I didn't even think of taking anything with me...

Their website suggested size 4 needles and some yarn, but I'm taking a pattern so I don't sit there looking lost :)

Ok, shop name decided I'm going to use my full name.... I know it's a little dodgy privacy wise, but I've never really been that bothered about who knows who I am on the interweb (I don't do anything naughty). Domain name purchased :D Now to setup a website yippee

Good luck! I find the best way if you don't know what to say is to ask questions and then just listen as it saves you having to talk! I went to an art class once where I was the youngest by at least 20 years (and I was 40) and found good topics to ask about were children, grandchildren, holidays, hobbies, gardening and cooking!! One thing I quite liked was that they looked after me and made me feel 'mothered' lol :D.
