Back to trying to cut down, already changed my utilities, my car insurance and thinking about cancelling sky. How long would I have to wait to phone back for a better offer as I am paying full price for everything just now.

Ring them up and ask to cancel, tel them you dont really want to cancel but just cant afford the bill anymore, be all lovely and apologetic sounding and they will pop you on hold to talk to cancellations, cancellations will come on and should offer you a deal to 'help you out' (I got 6 months half price tv :D)

Hello everybody, sorry I've been AWOL I've been down at the parents playing with my gorgeous 2yo nephew and saw my littlest 10wk old nephew smile at me for the first time, twas amazing! I've been spending on fabric again I'm afraid, so now I need to get on and make things to sell at the craft fair next month.

Anyway, before the day is done I best suggest a mini challenge: Five A Day
This week I challenge you all to get more fruit and veg in your diets :) I've been finding where I've been getting lazy my food is becoming more dried pasta & a tin of sauce, less cook it from scratch and make sure I eat my daily requirement of fruit & veg. So.... challenge this week is to see if you can eat 35 portions of fruit & veg, they can be tinned, dried, stewed, raw, however you choose :) Healthy bodies lead to healthy minds, and fruit & veg makes us happy chappies because of all the lovely vitamins (although I'm sure you all know this already and most won't find this a challenge at all :) )

At last - a challenge I can easily do! :rotfl: I havent managed a single one yet :o

Ok ive done it  ive FINALLY booked a weekend away for me, DH and the kids  DH nearly fell over when I said 'ive booked and paid' as hes so used to me going through these stages and then talking myself out of spending the money :o

We have decided to take the kids back to sunny skeggie to the same park we stayed at last year. Has cost £190 for the weekend so not too bad and my lovely mum is going to save the tokens from the £9.50 holiday and I will book that for Golden Sands in mablethorpe for later in the year. So ive gone from no holiday to 2

Best bit is that its only 5 weeks away so I havent got time to start panicking about being away, the journey etc. I have booked it on my trusty tesco CC for the points (ooo and got 5% quidco :j :j) and have the money already in the ISA to pay it straight off when the bill comes in. Just need to get together money for dinners (will take brekkies and lunches with me) and a couple of quid for the 2p slots :o Kids have been told to save some pennies from their weekly pocket money for icecreams and rides at the arcade, a bucket and spade etc so hoping its going to work out quite a cheap mini holiday :D

  • I needed today off work. All our boxes of [STRIKE]carp[/STRIKE] treasure have been safely stored back in the spare room. Kitchen is looking cleaner then it ever has and floors have been swept.

OH is looking much perkier today, we both had a really early night last night and I needed it, he said I never woke up once when he did. HE's had breakfast and had a wander around although he's back in bed now saying he's sore but in a good way from the walk about. Making us soup for lunch, haven't bought a blender yet but I did notice C*rrys gave us a 10% off voucher for small kitchen things in with the washing machine so may use that :p

I've already read one book this morning and I'm making use of my new B*se hifi, very chilled out day.

Hope everyone is well. No work means no spending on my lunch which is good :T

Congrats on the holiday jakes-mum, and I hope your OH continues his recovery fallen.
