Oh WOW lemonpopsicle, you are living the dream!! My dream that is :T Sounds absolutely amazing! I would worry though about leaving friends behind (not family, I'd rather put a few miles in between :rotfl:) and DS1 is in juniors now...how old were your kids? Also how do you find the switch from home counties to Welsh climate? :rotfl:
Did you find new jobs there? Sorry for 20 questions...pm me if you'd rather
Hi Spag,
I worried about leaving friends too and we still miss them, although they do visit. I left my mum in Oxfordshire which was difficult but she has now moved here too. DS1 was 5 and DS2 was 3. The climate in this bit of Wales (it's called Little England beyond Wales) is very similar to Cornwall because of the gulf stream although I understand the home counties have got warmer!
I stayed off work for about 3 years, I used to go in to a primary school to listen to kids read and after doing this for a few months they offered me a permanent job. Hubby had worked for social services for years and got a job with a local college as an nvq assessor - it was the first job he applied for. We weren't earning as much but we didn't need to. Pay here isn't as high as in England but we have free presciptions, lower council tax, EMA and a cap on tuition fees. :j Oh, and fantastic beaches, low crime, wild hills, hidden estuaries, cheap housing. It's definately easier to be poor here!

My mum would love to move to Wales! Will go and check it out on Rightmove now, it's my hobby anyway but I usually focus on Devon! Thanks for giving me food for thoughtDH is in a city job but could get a work from home job or I suppose in a city other than London and I have a hospital job so fairly transferable! Although tbh I want to start my own business...

:rotfl: it's not page 3.... I'm not that kinda girl
It's an article about the M&S advert using 'real' women and the uproar it's caused. They got some real women to pose like the advert to see what it looked like. Not my finest photo but it was an interesting way to spend an afternoon! And get paid for itBecame Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

A journalist friend asked on fb for brunettes free on wednesday afternoon at 2pm for a makeover and photoshoot on behalf of someone who works for the sun. I finished work at 12 so said yes and went straight into London for it, they paid my train fare and more so I just thought s0d it why not!Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16
