  • Well done Psychopathbabble I think you looked terrific.

Jemma well done on the travel accomplishment, keep up the good work!

Hi everyone I've not been checking in for a while because I've been decorating the study where the computer is, and they've got a bit funny about using work computers even if it's in your lunch hour.

Anyway here I am, suffering massive guilt after the Madeira Holiday, totally overspent. I even put a couple of meals and a massage on to the credit card.

And then a combination of just being sick of the tattyness of the room and DH wanting to set an aquarium up in there I decorated the study, just a lick of paint really. But I also decided to finish off the bedroom, so I put another £200 on the credit card getting soft furnishings etc.

The slightly good news here is that after my payment today (pay day :j) The credit card will be down £94.82 from last month, not as good as the £500 I want it to reduce by but better than nothing. Plus it should only put me back 1 month on my DFD.

Bad news though is that after a sterling start DH is back on the fags, and despite claims that he would quit again after the holiday so far no show! :(

Still it's all going in the right direction.

My mum would love to move to Wales! Will go and check it out on Rightmove now, it's my hobby anyway but I usually focus on Devon! Thanks for giving me food for thought :) DH is in a city job but could get a work from home job or I suppose in a city other than London and I have a hospital job so fairly transferable! Although tbh I want to start my own business...
We wanted initially to move to Cornwall but it was sooo expensive and I think Devon's the same. We wanted to be by the sea and thought about Northumberland (which we love) but too cold! The other thing that concerned us was the kids having to have their lessons in Welsh so North Wales was a no go-so Pembrokeshire it was :D
Our old house (that we renovated) is for sale at the moment.

Sorry but I don't know how to multi quote. We had DIY skills- hubby is practical and a lot of the renovation was basic labouring really, taking of slates, hacking off plaster, taking down ceilings, putting up ceilings, etc. It's amazing how long that all takes to do and how expensive it is if you pay someone else to do it.
    Psycho you look lovely :)

Phew, I'm back! Suzitiger I work in a hospital lab, I think Mrs ATS has all this to look forward to

No more work until Monday now :j:j:j and DS2's birthday treat tomorrow so I must go to bed :D Night night

    zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I don't think a hospital job is very likely - they're laying people off in my area :( - not a good time to be job hunting. Still I'll worry about that next year when I finish my degree!

Well, I've certainly been busy this week and I'm brain dead too (even more than normal :rotfl:). Looks like I may only be able to post at the weekend but I'll still be around then.

Lemonpopsicle - I really admire you for making the move you made - that takes real guts :T!

  • Had Barclaycard bill today.

Had a spend this month of £85.78:(

Made a payment of £184.78 but due to spend only paid off £99:mad:
    declaring

    No. 316 £99= Paid £1647.90/ £1947.90 = 84.59%
I will clear this debt next month. Feel a bit down this month, knew I wouldn't clear it but planned on only owing £200 not £300

Oh well onwards and upwards. Have a great weekend. Jemma have a fantastic holiday x
Feeling a bit better as just worked out with all the spends I have had on the barclaycard over the whole challenge have actually paid off

    No.316 £2537.63/£2837.63 = 89.42
    %

Was feeling depressed that it had taken me sooooooooooooo long to pay off less than 2K

My question is Jemma can I change my totals to reflect my payments or do you want me to stick to the origional amount?

    Hope this makes sense!

My first multi quote :rotfl:took me two attempts:rotfl:

Well had Barclaycard bill today and made a massive payment of £556.89.

I had quite a lot of spends on it :eek::eek::eek::eek:

This now makes me DEBT FREE:beer:

In a bit of a quandry (sp) can I declare my origional debt of £1947.90 cleared or can I add all the spends that I have had on it for the yr on top of that? If yes then I am declaring £3344.52 and debt free as of 19th October 2012. Paid it early evening but went out and didn;t have time to post.

I have put the two older posts on to see if this makes sense Jemma.

Let me know Jemma but we are away for 6 days from tomorrow so will check the debt free roll of honour when I get back.

Thanks for everyone's support on here and a huge thanks for Jemma for running the challenge.

I won't be going anywhere except for my hols as I want to find out how everyone is doing. Yay :T:T:T:T:T
