Well done Tirlittan!!! :beer:Student loan £5655
House deposit €32,667K/€40k0 -
The thing is, I've made my final payment (ok, there might be interest of about £1.18 on last statement. Btw, why can't they just sort this out when you make your final payment??) but it won't be until next pay day that I will actually have any money to spare! So another month waiting for pay day...:cool:DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0

Oooh,just been sat here talking with DS1 about how pleased I am that he paid me the money he owed me from Friday with his EMA that arrived in his account today,without me having to remind him and he told me how proud he was of me for getting rid of nearly all our debt. Aww it is worth the struggle
Now he's announced that every time he's been getting his EMA or money from his Grandma etc that he's been transferring 30% of it into his savings account. Go Jack and his money management :jLife's little instructions- Treat everyone you meet like you want to be treated..Watch a sunrise at least once a year..Strive for excellence not perfection:j£2 SC no.70 £140/£350SPC no.73 SPC9 £248 SPC10 target £250DFBX12 No. 069 £7719 / £7719 DEBT FREE 30/11/122013 mfw No.4 MORTGAGE FREE 5/8/130 -

Well done Tirlittan :beer::j:beer::j:beer::j:beer:
Also fantastic DFD lemonpop, keep it up :j
Feeling a bit wobbly again today...Really not sure we can continue to live like this beyond the start of next year. I hope we can have paid off 35-40% of the initial debt by Xmas which is great (no, it's fantastic :j) but our children are suffering, as are we, and the most important thing of all is that we really want to think about having another childI'm really starting to wonder whether we should downsize (not really possible unless we buy a flat around here tbh) or better still move to a cheaper area. It would be a huge upheaval but I think it could be worth it if we could wipe out our debt with our equity and yet still have a nice house by moving away from London.
For the millionth time, I can't believe we got ourselves into this messDMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -

Don't start to falter now Spagbol, you've done amazingly.
You're currently at over 25% repaid - that's a quarter of the way there, by Christmas you'll be over 33% - that's over a third of the way there, keeping those percentages in mind there is light at the end of the tunnel.
How are the kids suffering? if they're lacking vitamins and minerals then I would say that you do need to slow down a little bit as the family's health is paramount. If they're lacking material stuff then they're not suffering, they might think they are :rotfl: but I'd say they're learning a much more valuable lesson.
Only you you know how you feel, but in my opinion you're doing brilliantly, and the colly-wobbles will go away if you push hard enough.0 -

Well said Kerfuffle, couldn't have said it any better myself. Keep going Spagbol you are doing brilliantly x:T[SIZE=2]SPC4 #1395 Aug 11 £135.75/£150

Thanks Kerfuffle and mumof3plusoh...they are very kind words and I know we have done really well, I'm just so tired and don't think I can cope with another year of this level of stress!!
The kids are suffering because we are both working 2 jobs and every spare minute I'm not working I am on the computer either doing some typing for a friend (paid), selling stuff on ebay or checking finances! (Or on here :rotfl:) To be fair they probably don't feel they are suffering but I just don't have enough time for them. I'm also REALLY grumpy at times and quite miserable as I'm so broody
Materially they are missing out but I don't mind that too much. DS for example is the only one in his class of 30 that has never flown on a plane. Their xmas presents are pants compared to their friends who all have laptops etc. that is another problem with living in an affluent area :eek: but I'm quite old fashioned and wouldn't like them to have that stuff anyway
It's all such a mess but hopefully we can overcome it somehow. If DH and I make it intact as a couple we've done very well tooDMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:0
