Hang on....DON'T GO FOOD SHOPPING!!!
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Going shopping is a nightmare nowadays, it is always so much more than you think! :eek:
Thanks lemonpop, I AM on a mission :j:j:jDMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -
in reverse jakes mum i went shopping sunday and my bill came to £130 (ish) once id used all my various coupons it came to £59. all food. i was delighted. should last us two weeks.
have realised i definitely wont make 100% by xmas but am hoping for 80-85% and the rest will have to be in the new year. it will be gone x0 -
Ruthy sorry to hear your news, sending telepathic hugs out for you :grouphug:
My expenses haven't been paid today, neither has the interest on my savings account, but I decided to pay off my credit card, as expenses should arrive tomorrow.
Debt update: £1786/3486 = 51.23%
Hope the interest will appear on my saving account tomorrow, then I need to switch banks as my 'introductory' interest rate expires, and becomes laughable.
Jakes-mum- I know what you mean about things finding their way into the trolley. I went for loo roll earlier, and came out with burgers, apples, everything. Only just remembered to buy the actual loo roll. But I have no one else to blame0 -
Ahh Ruthy, big virtual hugs to your mum and everyone
Hugs to everyone else feeling down at the minute, we seem to be going through a thread lull again, a bit of pre christmas 'only 2 months to go and we arn't going to make it' blues. Regardless if each of us make the xmas deadline or not, we are all closer to being debt free than we were and a darned sight closer than if we hadnt tried at all :eek:
I shall end with a completely off topic and unimportant post (in the hope of making you all smile slightly) what is it with men and putting dirty crockery in the sink and then filling EACH item with water rather than emptying the dishwasher and reloading it? seriously, just went to start dinner and there is 3 plates, 7 cups, 4 bowls all filled with water and the cutlery stuffed in a pint glass on the side (also with water in it!)
Lol - my DH does this as well. If he ever does the dishwasher (i.e. I tell him he has to), he does it so badly I have to re-stack it - he does this on purpose I'm sure so that I won't ask him again.
Wow, so many posts to catch up on!
Ruthy so sorry to hear your news, big hugs to you and your family.
Thanks to everyone for their advice on potty training. I know DD1 is not ready yet, and personally I don't see what the hurry is. We have bought a toilet trainer type thing and she has done a couple of #2's in. I was talking to my sister about it at the weekend and she said with her dd she kept taking her to the loo every few hours whilst she was still in nappies, until dd started to ask to go the loo so I might give that a go.
DD1 has now got to wear a patch over her good eye for four hours a day, I've got to talk to her this afternoon to explain it to her, but I know she's not going to like it very much!
Regular payment to cc went out this morning, so I have a new update:
#304 £1,658.08/ £5,210.12 (31.82%)
Poor thing - I hope she took the news OK.Ruthy, sorry to hear your newsI agree with your family though in that you should go to Florida so you can tell her all about it when you get back and show some fantastic once in a lifetime photos.
It's mine and OH's 2 year anniversary today I've no idea where the time has gone but to save pennies I've made him a zendoodle cardoh and instead of covering my new desk with expensive wallpaper the OH and I are going to do some zentangles (like zendoodles but square) and then decoupage the desk with them.
Congrats on your 2 year anniversary!
And well done to all those who've made debt payments :j:beer:!Pay debt in 2012 #278 £2347/£5364

Hey everyone, sorry for being awol and sorry especially to Ruthy1604, my heart really goes out to you and your family.
*ramble alert-should probably start a diary rather than posting issues on here*
I've been fighting my demons over the last few days. I went to Chester Zoo on Saturday with my family which pushed a lot of buttons (none of my family know of my problems with travelling as they see me as the strong one) then me and my parents went to Hull on Sunday to The Deep. Again, I was on edge but got through the 200mile roundtrip fine. I really believed I had turned a corner and I felt that this work trip to Scotland (400 miles) was doable! Then today I had surgery. It was onlt relatively minor to have a cyst removed but I had to wait over 4hrs in a surgical gown with people being wheeled in and out. There were soooooooo many times I thought, that's it, I can't do this, I'm out of here... But I stuck it out and it was such a tough day. I'm so tired from being anxious all day and I'm also in pain from the anaesthic wearing off. Not the best start for tomorrow... I'm so scared but I know that if I can get through surgery then I can go to bloody Scotland. I need to work past my fears to reach my dreams. This cannot beat me or else I will always remain a shadow of the person I want to be. I'll let you know if I make it tomorrow... xxxNew Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

You must share your secret - how do you do it? Where do you find £70 worth of vouchers to use? I'm lucky if I get 50p off something lol!
