Choclover – congrats on your default dropping of your credit file, very pleased for you! Ooooh I’ve always wanted to cook a curry from scratch using all the spices, do they do other curry’s other than Kormas? Yay, back over the 25% mark!!!

Ooooh yes! There's about 5 or 6 different curry recipes in the book, although I haven't tried them yet. I made a batch of the sauce and froze half of it so I've got a quick and tasty meal one night. I really need to get some more food boxes so I can make more in one go and freeze other stuff as well, trouble is they are so expensive!

Still not the cheapest, but I get packs of 10 foil takeaway tubs for £1 from wilkos or qd. They are the best thing for me to take dinners to work in!

I am going to declare money off my OD...even though I haven't reduced the limit yet or indeed decided which OD to reduce (we have three...wait for it...this might ruin your breakfast...I have one of £2.5k, DH one of £3.5k and a joint one of £5k!!:eek::eek:)

They are all high interest, obviously (roughly 19% I would say but the ones DH is linked to are slightly lower APR as he has a nifty account) so I think I'll reduce mine first.

Anyway, by sundown (feeling a bit Shakespearean about it :D) I will have decided and reduced one by £600 so:

    #084 £14,381 / £58,000 24.79%

    :j:j

The mortgage/salary date debacle has worked in our favour and effectively we have a mortgage holiday this month so I'm using half the money to pay off some of my OD instead :T Next month is DH's bonus month so will cover the increased mortgage (although not double payment strangely) and pay off a bit of OD :j

Go Spagbol that's fantastic   I can tell you're on a mission :D

Wow, so many posts to catch up on!

Ruthy so sorry to hear your news, big hugs to you and your family.

Thanks to everyone for their advice on potty training. I know DD1 is not ready yet, and personally I don't see what the hurry is. We have bought a toilet trainer type thing and she has done a couple of #2's in. I was talking to my sister about it at the weekend and she said with her dd she kept taking her to the loo every few hours whilst she was still in nappies, until dd started to ask to go the loo so I might give that a go.

DD1 has now got to wear a patch over her good eye for four hours a day, I've got to talk to her this afternoon to explain it to her, but I know she's not going to like it very much!

Regular payment to cc went out this morning, so I have a new update:

What I do (a tip I found somewhere on the forum) is I freeze my food in food bags. I put the food bags in plastic containers whilst they freeze then remove them from the containers. You end up with "bricks" which stack far better in the freezer and take up less room. Just put the bag back in a container to defrost :D

Ruthy, sorry to hear your news :( I agree with your family though in that you should go to Florida so you can tell her all about it when you get back and show some fantastic once in a lifetime photos.

It's mine and OH's 2 year anniversary today I've no idea where the time has gone but to save pennies I've made him a zendoodle card :) oh and instead of covering my new desk with expensive wallpaper the OH and I are going to do some zentangles (like zendoodles but square) and then decoupage the desk with them.
