My dentist is young (my age) and hot and I have the added complication that I pulled him in 6th Form many years ago!!! Bit weird having him fiddling about in my mouth with impliments...!
Thank you everyone for letting me know that I'm not the only one who has fears and it's really given me a boost to know that you've got over them :A (well except for Jakes-mum who got lucky because of technology! :rotfl:). This next week or so are a bit manic for me as I am at a funeral tomorrow and I am in hospital for minor surgery on Tuesday (nothing serious I promise you!) then the big drive up Scotland on Weds/Thurs so I think next weekend I'm just going to crash!
I tried to do my updating last night but as many of you will know, the forum was down for maintenance! I will try again tonight as I'm dying to know how much we paid off in September!!!
I was a bit naughtyand ordered some Jillian Michael's fitness DVD's (it was 4 in a pack for £14.59 so not too bad!) cos people on mfp were raving about it. I have watched the 30 day shred on youtube for free but my telly is old so I can't hook up the laptop to it!
Never mind! It's meant to be pretty hard core but the before and after pics I've seen are AMAZING!!! Some people have lost up to 10lbs over the 30 days but more importantly have dropped inches and really look toned! I've also seen lots of posts about the New rules of lifting for women book which teaches women to ditch the barbie dumbells and start lifting heavy. Again, the before and after pics are amazing and the best thing is that they urge you to eat more to lose weight. I'll let you know what it's like.
On more of a debt busting note, I checked my credit card online and my payment has gone through so the balance is a big fat £0!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :j:j:j It is such a good sight! I'm not cancelling it or reducing the limit (it's £5,500) because, quite frankly, I trust myself not to use it. :T It is there for an emergency but I know that I will not spend on it like I used to. I think this is a massive achievement and just shows how far I've come. Besides, if I were to start spending on it again then I obviously want that crap more than I want a house which is ridiculous!
Anyway, must dash. Like I said, I will be on later to update and CATCH UP! There are a lot of things that people have posted that I want to respond to :ANew Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

Okay, RANT ALERT!!!
Poor DD1! Got collared by the teacher today, they want to refer her to have her speech assessed, but didn't say why. I need to fill in form with any comments regarding her speech, but I have no idea what to put. I know sometimes I struggle to understand what she says, but I don't think it's anything to worry about. She also mentioned (again!) about potty training - "oh she sees other children going to the toilet" bla bla bla, "it's confusing to have her in a nappy then put pants on her" - err hang on for one minute, you were the one who told me to put pants in her bag in the first place! I wish they'd make up their mind!?!?! Now they're telling me to put either nappies in her bag or totally ditch nappies and go with pants! Oh and I know there is no difference between a nappy and pull ups! It upsets me that I've been doing what they said originally even though dd1 gets very upset when she wets herself and now they've changed their minds!
Then on the way home she got really upset and wouldn't come home, it took me ages to get her home, calm her down and change her (by this time she had wet herself). I wonder if I've done the right thing taking her there, she enjoys going and playing with other children but I just hope the teacher is not making her feel inadequate.£2013 in 2013 £866.71/£2013

How old is your DD choclover? Is this nursery or reception? Perhaps if she doesn't need to be there yet she'd be better off at home with you for a bit but then you need some time with the new baby I suppose. Sounds very upsetting and I've also been frustrated with contradictory teachers before so know how awful that can be. Big hugs xDMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -
Hi gang!
Back from my holidays on Monday. Madeira was lovely we stayed in Funchal so it was sort of a cross over city/beach (well poolside really) holiday.
Jemma thanks for including me in the big post, I've got loads of catching up to do including my figures as there was another pay day whilst we were away so DDs have gone out.
DH did have a few ciggies whilst we were away but he has stopped again now, apparently they were all about relaxing you know "Hey I'm on holiday!!"
Unfortunately we also way overspent mostly on eating out, we could have saved money as the hotel room had a little kitchenette in but we decided to indulge. So a couple of things went on the CC it probably puts me back one month. Still we will make up for it by having a very cheap holiday next year :-)
Jemma I hope everything goes okay on your trip, just try to take it in stages rather than think about the whole experience in one.My Debt Free Diary LBM March 2010

Spagbol she's 3 and goes to the nursery attached to the first school. She likes going to play with the other children and doing the activities and i obviously get some time with dd2 and some time to do a bit of housework and cook lunch. But i just wish the teacher would just say what she has to say instead of bringing up potty training every time i speak to her and each time what she says contradicts what she's said before. The health visitor is going in next week so no doubt the teacher will have something else to say about it.£2013 in 2013 £866.71/£2013

choclover, is there anyway you can have dd1 at home for a week to crack the potty training? My sister's just done that with my oldest nephew and he's dry night and day now. Although saying this, I have no experience with potty training except when I was little, to which I apparently was potty trained until my sister came along then did it for attention oops!
Two updates in one day though go me! OH and I are on a health kick, I've had to join a £19.99/month gym and the £35/month one is on cancel, I've only been twice but I've had a cold this week so that's my excuse
I'm still trying to save money and in doing so OH ended up with a cold shower this afternoon because the water only comes on for 2hrs in the morning and 1hr in the evening. Well if he will shower in the middle of the day what does he expect! I did try the "no heating until november" but the high ceilings in this place make it freezy! I did make a draft excluder though
Hope everyone is well, and I'll try to drop by to catch up again tomorrow xxDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:
