Thanks guys, you're right, I CAN do this. I'll remember the blackboard on the way there...!
Gonna carry on updating as I really want to know how we did in September!!! xxxNew Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T
Debt at Highest: £43,073 :eek:0 -
Gemma I do understand how daunting it is. I'm never happy driving new places at all, and lose so much sleep over it! I hate busy traffic, and got even more nervous after an accident. Don't stress about the getting there, focus on the fantastic feeling you will have when you get back and realise everything went fine!0

Thanks JM I am properly cringing right now and freaking out, with tingles running through my body. YUK YUK YUK. It doesn't help we were showing friends my russian dolls earlier and they make a similar noise when twisted, which was already making me cringe. EURGHHHHHHH.Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16

Does anyone here have a fear that they are trying to overcome?Jemma, you can do this, from the sounds of it you have made big steps already, well done. I have a very different fear which is heights. Three years ago I decided I was going to face up to it, and I have been trying to do really hard things since. I started small just like you and this year I managed to abseil off a cliff! eeeek! I'm not gonna lie it was horrible and the fear hasn't gone, I don't think it ever will. But I was with people I really trusted who I also knew didn't judge me for being afraid, and I just focused on the fact that i was doing it, rather than the horrible fear. I hope I'm not making you feel worse, but you know you can do it, and you are doing it for work AND yourself which is important.
My advice would be just to really focus on what you are achieving, calm yourself with deep breathing and take it a step at a time. Maybe break your journey down into stages so you can focus on...'right I've got to here and now I'm going to go to there'.. I hope that helps, sorry for rambling on.

Well done to everyone that is still making progressAhhhhh PPbabbble I have to say I did rack up some more debt whilst I was away from here, which is pretty bad and I am SO annoyed at myself, but I am still reducing most of the bad debt, its only my 'good' debt that I've been adding to so I guess that fact helps a little. i am so close to paying off my Landlady and i am going to join the 1 debt vs 100 days challenge to get rid of some of the smaller ones so that i can snowball :T kepp slogging away with the selling, it is a pain I have sackloads to put on fleabay (literally) but think of the feeling when you see people bidding, I love that! I wish i could invite Jakesmum around to help though :rotfl:
Speaking of...the crafting sounds great Jakesmum, where do you get your ideas from? I am creative in the way that I love crafting but I need someone to give me ideas first lol

Jemma, I can't think of anything right now that I'm scared of.... except failing at stuff. But, I do get so many people at work that are scared of flying! I had a lady the other week who was really scared and crying, and she was sat in my emergency exit row so I had to brief her on how to use the door! I always say to them, you might be scared but look at you and how well you are doing... you are on the plane and you are doing this, you haven't let the fear overcome you and you are going on holiday! you can do this Jemma xBecame Mrs Scotland 16.01.16

Jemma, you can do it, I can see how strong and determined you are through this thread and know you want to overcome this and you will
I have fairly obvious fears like spiders etc. but my absolute worst thing is strong wind after being close to a falling tree in the late 80s/early 90s with all those hurricanes and storms!! Hate it. Thunder and lightning fine, gusty wind: :eek::eek::eek:
Also sound wise for me it's the cotton wool in the mouth!! :eek:DMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -

Ummm a mixture of places, some are things ive seen people wearing or a picture of something and i'll make it in my own style, others are just stuff that pop into my headYesterday my bamboo meat skewers turned up, was like a kid at christmas
My mate came over and was like 'what are you on woman? they are meat skewers!' and I was like 'noooooooo, they are stems for my sweetie bouquet!!' :rotfl::rotfl:. Nothing is ever used for purpose in this house, DD's cars 2 cup from her easter egg became the sweetie bouquet base :rotfl:

Morning all! What a lovely sunny day it is here, albeit slightly chilly. Received my hairy dieters cookbook the other day that I purchased using my sw*gbucks, very :money:! Weighed myself on Tuesday, so now have a benchmark and would like to loose 1 stone (about 6 kg i think) by xmas. I've already lost the weight I put on when I was pregnant, so i'm hoping if I stick to healthy meals with very little snacking and definitely no chocolate
I should be ok. My main aim is to drop a dress size by xmas, but I know it's a bit hit and miss where you loose the weight from, so we'll see. It would be nice be a size 16 for this wedding, as I can't remember the last time I was a size 16, it must have been about 9-10 years ago .
My fear when I was at uni was being out in public. It didn't really rear it's ugly head until my second year, when I was living in a tower block. I guess that didn't help as it left me feeling very isolated. But mainly I think it started because I suddenly had an attack of eczema on my face, usually around my mouth on my cheeks and even on my eyelids. It made me very self-concious and in the end I couldn't even bear to go outside the flat to get to my lectures. Even when it cleared up, I felt as if I couldn't go to lectures as I felt I had missed so much I wouldn't understand what they were talking about. It was a very depressing time and ended up me quitting my course, leaving me in about £18k worth of debt (student load and overdraft). After leaving uni I moved back home and was unemployed for about 6 months until my parents had enough of me moping around and really started to get on my case. Going to interviews wasn't so bad as I knew they weren't going to last very long and they were spaced days apart so I could psych myself up for them. Getting a job and having to go in everyday really helped me overcome my fear, but it's still there in the back of head. What's killer for me is if I'm ill and have to have time off work, I feel really guilty for doing it and I hate that feeling when you go back.
Back to debt busting, I had a problem earlier in the week with my bank card, so had to put the weekly shop on my cc, so this morning I've paid that off and a little extra, it's not a lot, but it makes me feel better

I've just been to the dentist and had 2 fillings repaired. Since when were dentists young and HOT? I was very flustered.... had to close my eyes when my head was practically in his lap!Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16
