  • What a thieving little git. If I ever tried that when I was a kid I would have had a right telling off, and would have to take it back and apologise. If it was the first time then you might understand, but it isn't, and that kid isn't having the right boundaries set for them.

I would probably have written the message too jakes-mum, but I've not got any kids or someone to tell me not to I suppose.
    DFW - DEBT FREEEEEE!

    Total - 10762/10762 :)

Every silver lining has its cloud.

  • nothing worse than thieves and liars. Steer well clear. Feel for you Jakes-mum, I wouldn't have made it out the house either and would have had a sore backside and sent to bed. That old favourite line of my mum's always springs to mind. "Thieves and liars always get found out!!!"
It is such a shame that morals and values dissappear in some families. At least you can be proud of you and your family. x

  • I hate confrontation but I'd have to say something. I just couldn't sit in my house with my little kids knowing that some little git over the road was playing with my kids stolen toys. Unbelievable :mad::mad:

Jake'sMum - unbelievable what some parents are like . Not only would I not have dared do that when I was little, if either of my pair did that I would have been mortified and would have taken them back straightaway and apologised profusely (good word that ;) ). Not that my sons would do that because they know it's WRONG!!! Why are the parents not teaching their children what is right and what is wrong?

  • Further to my previous posts about not quite making the deadline, I have been looking at my budget spreadsheet again. I am going to try and live as frugally as possible over the next few months to try and claw back some overspending so that we might be debt-free by Christmas.

However, I have spotted a loophole! This may be relevant to others! If I earn and spend exactly as the budget looks at the moment, I will actually be debt-free on Christmas Day. By the time some of the January bills have gone out I'll have slipped back into the red by a couple of hundred pounds, but as far as I'm concerned being debt-free on Christmas Day would still be a massive boost for me!

Anyway sorry for the random ramblings, I'm trying to make myself feel better!

Jakesmum I cannot believe that, how rude of her!! I would go over and ask if she or her child has seen the cars.

    on your behalf.

Payday on Tuesday and going bonkers waiting for it so I've made a £10 payment today:

    #084 £12,420 / £58,000 21.41%

    :j

Pondering my targets and next year, I really want to get to 40% by Xmas then have a huge push next year with the final 60%. If we can get to 40% by xmas we won't be overdrawn :j so interest and fees etc. will be reduced by at least £150 pcm so the snowballing can start in earnest. Hopefully all the income we should get will come in with DHs bonus, freelance work etc.

I am ebaying again today, there are bids of £26 already on 2 items from last Sunday which should sell today, I will put on some more to try and earn £50 for next week. This is all going into the DS Birthday and Xmas pot.
