Ahh ty all for listening to my rant :o, I would go over BUT we have lived here 6 1/2 years and DH banned me from ever doing so after his first visit . . . . in his words 'remember your cleaning OCD? . . . yep, your not going over there' so ive actually never visited their house!

Ive been looking at how much it will cost just to replace the 2 disney cars and the lightning mcqueen will cost me about £4 - £5 (dont think its from the original movie though like hers was) and the leakless one I cant even find!!

I've just spent yesterday walking round and randomly saying 'the theiving little git!' :rotfl:

im able to declare another £100 paid off so that takes me to

    £2600/£4500 no 78

havent worked out the percentage this time as its not much of a change. hoping to pay another little bit off soon tho x
  • I've managed to be fairly careful with my money this last week and think I'll get another £130 paid off by the end of the month!

That would bring my debt total to #338 £1273/3486 = 36.52%.

Looking at my spreadsheet, I could get myself up to 50% next month, which would be fantastic. It's so tempting, although I got an advisory in last months MOT to get my brakes changed, and I'm not sure how long it's ok to leave an advisory for... That, and the fact I really should start putting a little bit aside for Christmas. Decisions decisions!

Hope you are all doing well, I can't even remember where I left off to be able to catch up on you all!

Right im ranting people! you have been warned!

Im sure you all remember the sweet incident dont you? well my DH told me to have a look at the mothers facebook last night at som recent pictures shes posted. There said child is, smiling at the camera holding 2 of my DD's toy cars! and not the cheap crappy ones I bought in a bulk box for a £10 when DS was little, nope, the very expensive disney car I bought DD as shes mad on the films
Now these are not the kind of people who would go out and buy these cars so they must know the child has half inched them from us but it seems this is ok and my DD can go without
Had a look through her cars this morning and about a dozen of the cheap ones are missing and the most popular of the set of disney ones is also gone
Im *expletive* furious, and that child will not set foot in my house again, nor will the mother (or the father if I have my way, but DH insists its not him  how he can be unaware that his child has suddenly aquired a load of new cars that they havent bought is beyond me, its not like they have a house full of toys that they would be overlooked )
Anyway thats my rant, said mother is deleted on FB as I wanted to write a rather scathing message on the pic about how nice it is their child has some new cars and where did they get them as DD's have grown legs and run away (DH said I wasnt allowed ;))

Oh my word! How have you managed to control yourself and not stride over there and have it out with her? I really think you should maybe try to tactfully explain that her son had been taking toys from your house (if she's an approachable person) He really needs to learns stealing is wrong. Your hubby also needs to explain to the dad what's been happening, I mean he may just think mum has bought them for the son.

Anyway mum...... you're not far behind - one final push :)

  • I have realised that in order to be debt free by xmas, I would have to pay most of my next 3 wages to the CC, possible only if I lived only on value beans on toast/in jacket spud and value pasta with value tinned tomatoes and bought absolutely nothing else! It'd be great for the diet though :rotfl:

I can comfortably pay half my wage each month to the CC and live well, even with the expense of Christmas looming (which won't be as expensive this year as I'm doing it :money:style)

I could have maybe paid it off by Christmas if I'd been really frugal all year but I guess I love living life too much. At least I've learned to love living life less expensively :p

Maybe I could make an effort to sell things to make more money. I'm sure I can hear J-M yelling "do it!" at the computer:D However I've really made an effort with surveys, collecting loyalty points etc and have £160 to use for Christmas pressies etc.

So I'm looking at Easter 2013 to be debt free:)
  • Hi Everyone,

Sorry I’ve been AWOL for a while – I’ve been reading but just not posting.

WELL DONE to Superheavy ! I’m so pleased for you :j:j
Well done also to everyone else who has made payments & I hope you’re having a relaxing holiday Jemma.

I’ve been busy decluttering. I listed a few bits on fleabay and FB a couple of weeks ago. Bit disappointed really. One woman on FB messed me around a lot and in the end was a no show to pay/collect. I sold 6 items for £14 and had to go to the PO 3 times cos of late payers.:mad: I have relisted some, plus a couple of printers that were lying around 1 bid for £3 so far and nowt else. It really seems hardly worth the hassle for less than £15. I’m also a bit gutted that no one wants my pram – it’s so lovely & the colours are still modern, but no takers. :(

I’ve also labelled 80 items outgrown of toys/clothes for our local NCT sale next Sat. They take commission of 30%, but anything is better than nothing so I am considering trying to sell my pram there too.

My guilty pleaseure was starting to pack for my hols - 4 weeks today I will be sitting in the sunshine. I know it’s early, but I am so ready for this holiday!

A few DD’s have gone out today & I’ve scraped an extra £200 to pay on top so my new totals are:

    #306 £12617.89/16779.81 75.2%
    Yay – over the 75%!!!!

Next month’s target is to pay off my card from Mr Branston. The 0% deal runs out on 4th Oct and I only have £395 left
10lb to lose & keep off in 20204.5lb/10lb:rotfl:
