  • Hope it went ok Jemma.

I managed to borrow a dehumidifier from two of my lovely friends at work and last night in the space of 3 hours it pulled about a pint out the air in the bedroom area! Didn't seem to use that much electricity either (about the same as the tv maybe) so I've left it running this morning whilst the OH is still at home.
    HSBC CC - £3000 / £3000
    Halifax CC - £1032.77 / £1032.77
Mortgage currently at [STRIKE]£82,299.71[/STRIKE] £76,017.62 would love to overpay

Have you had damp for ages? I've just realised this is a flat you bought not so long ago isn't it? I had bad damp in a flat I rented a while ago and it wasn't pretty :(

I've lost 8.5 pounds in 3 weeks :D Nevermind the fact I was heavier to start with than the beginning of this challenge! I'm going to see my friend in Cyprus next week... very mse I thought! However now he has booked leave and wants to stay in hotels around Cyprus so he can have a holiday too... so now I'll have to shell out towards the hotels :o It will be lovely but wasn't planning on spending loads of money!

I've only just noticed a dampy kind of smell lately, I knew there may be a problem because of the shower room I think I just need to find a way to keep the bedroom aired (hard as it's a French Door not a window) and then use this to prevent moisture from and drying clothes going in too.
There's no signs of any damp anywhere and we don't get condensation on any walls outside the shower room.

Congrats on your weight loss :)

  • Must tell you this  DH phoned NR to ask for some paying in slips so that we can make cash payments towards the loan - to hopefully pay it off by Xmas. Anyway today 7 slips turned up in 7 separate first class envelopes! No wonder NR went t*ts up. He had asked for enough to make 1 payment a week so I'm wondering whether another 7 are going to turn up tomorrow :)

ahhh bless NR, you do wonder how some people manage to get and keep jobs in these current times ;)

Gawd help me people, Jakes-dad has joined MSE and has posted on the SP5 thread  he is encroaching onto my virtual territory!! He has decided he is fed up with my winning after my last email (that im afraid I dont dare tell you what I won until it arrives incase I have got the wrong comp and am veeeeeeeeeery wrong on the prize :o) and has started to comp . . . unfortunately hes dyslexic so im either hearing a read and speak system monotoning each comp (that ive already entered ) or him asking me 'what am I supposed to type here? how do you spell our address? what does this say'
Bless him he thinks hes helping me, he doesnt really get that everytime I have to stop and help him hes making my own comping take longer and it would actually be quicker for me to enter every comp twice myself than him to enter on his computer
So hes now got roboform and is banned from entering any comp tnat has 1 entry per household, needs him to register first, or whos site doesnt allow roboform to be used :o

Have got some money in paypal waiting to come out that I can pay off my CC, the flights for scotland have now becoem due so got to go pay £300 next week :( ahh well not long to go before im staring at Loch ness looking for nessie :j :j

  • Are you sure he's not another child you've got there, rather than a partner? Could you nudge him in the way of surveys or swagbucks so you're both doing something productive, just not the same thing?

  • Hi Jemma
Re: the blood thing. Good luck with the 'blood thing'. Them veins can be very elusive to find!
To Jakes-Mum, hope you are getting some rest now that your dd has started school. I have packed my youngest off to nursery this week. I have been working nights all week, so DH had to sit with her. DH came back and proudly told me that she was the only child to sit down at Story Time, help with the tidying up etc etc - wish she would show such good behaviour at home - she stands there with her hands on hips giving out to me something rotten at times!!
I have had to go back on the Overtime - Sep is an expensive time for school supplies and I have to pay preschool fees on top of it too. Trying to get enough rest, for little bubba's sake!

  • Hello, i do apologise for just jumping in and quickly out. Well done on the weight loss, am trying to lose weight myself, but doing rubbish at the mo. Hope you get the damp sorted, we suffer at times with that, it not nice, normally when the heating goes on, condensation etc. i always thought dehumidifiers drew a lot of electric, will have to look into that, well done to everyone paying their debts and those not managing it, like me at times, at least we're trying (lol). My new total is in my signature. I have started buying xmas stuff and also my daughter starts uni in just over a week, so still buying for that. Have a nice weekend all.

EDIT - not sure if im doing the percentage right, please feel free to change it.
