  • Argh, I need advice. I desperately need a dehumidifier but I don't know which to go for as they all seem expensive. Any help anyone? If I have to pay a lot I will, our bedroom is starting to smell musty because of the en-suite shower and I really want to get this sorted before it gets cold.

Have you not got an extractor fan in the shower room- you shouldn't really need a dehumidifier?

My best friend got one from B&Q because of a very moist kitchen - I think she got it from B&Q or Argos, about £80, which sounds expensive, but she said it changed it completely and was cheaper than having damp work done. Reevoo is quite useful for Argos purchases

Hey everyone. Got to have full bloods tomorrow and I HATE needles...! I ran the Salford 10k on Sunday and felt awful. My heart rate was 181bpm which is way high and I had to walk most of it cos I felt so light headed. Got back and crashed out for several hours and it was like someone had sucked the life and energy out of me. Could be anaemia... Let's hope the docs can figure it out cos I'm going a bit insane from not being able to exercise!

On a more positive note, my brother-in-law went to see his consultant today and whilst his brain tumour has grown slightly, he was not overly concerned. He is having anothet mri next month to monitor him.

Only 9 working days till my holiday and I can't wait!!!!! I hope you all enjoyed the sunshine over the weekend cos that could be it till next year! xxx

  • Hi guys,

10 days till my debt free day, and I've also got my half yearly bonus to look forward to in the same pay packet, so I may even have a surplus. Not that I'm going to be lacking things to spend the money on....one friend is getting married in Mexico next year, and another is organising a stag do in Dublin.

Sorry to hear about your 10k Jemma, can't say I have any experience in the field but aneamia sounds like a possible cause. I'm not entirely sure of the link, but my nephew had anaemia and my sister was making him a fry up for breakfast every morning. Good news about your brother-in-law too.

fallenwiccan - I'd love to be able to help, but I'm one of those really handy blokes that leave complex tasks like checking the oil to the mechanic, and installing a new light switch to the electrician. However, if you have any problems that require a study of 20th century history...
    DFW - DEBT FREEEEEE!

    Total - 10762/10762 :)

Every silver lining has its cloud.

We do and it runs a good half an hour after turning the light off but the bedroom is still not great. There's no window in there or I'd have that wide open too. :(

Think I'll have a trip to B&Q after work, thanks everyone.

Oh no, just look away, close your eyes and sing your favourite song in your head, that's what gets me through donating blood.

Are they testing your vitamin B12? Could be anaemia or could be a deficiency. Sorry to hear about your BIL but glad the news is positive :)

They're testing for... renal, bone, liver, tft, glucose and full blood count. Don't know what most of these mean except it means 6 vials of blood eek!

Fallenwiccan, I had a problem with damp in my rental place and got a dehumidifier, think it was £70 from argos. Amazing how much water it collected!

Superheavy, I bet you can't wait for the next 9 days!!!!! I really find history interesting btw!
