*wails* my baby has abandoned me! Not a tear in sight as she left me for her first day of school  ok she did come back for one last cuddle as I was going out the door (more than I got off her brother who if I remember correctly was trying to run off as I kissed him goodbye :rotfl:)
Theres me in the car on the way home mulling over my empty nest, DH on the other hand cant contain his glee at being child free  MEN! :rotfl:
Only 1hr and 6 minutes before I go pick her up (not that im counting or anything) Then I get to do it all over again tomorrow!
DH is still very adamant that there will be no more eggs in my nest . . . . ever! Do you think he's starting to waiver? :rotfl:
*hugs* Jake's Mum - it's a bit of a shock to the system but then when you get used to it, it's quite nice having some peace and quiet (honest).
Lol J-M. My baby went off to secondary school last week without a backward glance.:( She wouldn't even let me drop her off so she went with her friends "much cooler mum".
DH has never wavered on more kids, so after 11 years of waiting, my pram is now on ebay. DH cannot contain his glee either....
Don't you just hate "much cooler mums" :rotfl:. She must have some other major flaws instead though.
My baby went off to secondary school last year and on the bus 12 miles away (I was in bits - he was fine). He let me walk him to the bus stop the first morning but after that wouldn't let me cos it's not cool - I still [STRIKE]secretly watch him walk down the street though [/STRIKE] make sure he crosses the road safely
.
Just popped in to say I've paid that £100 I made on fleabay off the credit card and updated my totals.
#343 £13613.33 / £18213.33
Savings and £2 pot have taken a nosedive but I don't mind about that because they are now in Euros and sitting with my passport waiting for me to go to Madeira in one week exactly.:j
Mr Bonglecat is still not smoking 2 weeks down and going great guns!! I also found out his secret he just told himself that he is a non-smoker, so he can see people smoking and the cigs on sale and just think "they have no relevance to me as I don't smoke". I thought this was interesting as opposed to "I gave up smoking" weird huh?
Fantastic news about Mr B and his approach to not smoking :j. Have a great holiday.Pay debt in 2012 #278 £2347/£5364

Hey everyone. Got to have full bloods tomorrow and I HATE needles...! I ran the Salford 10k on Sunday and felt awful. My heart rate was 181bpm which is way high and I had to walk most of it cos I felt so light headed. Got back and crashed out for several hours and it was like someone had sucked the life and energy out of me. Could be anaemia... Let's hope the docs can figure it out cos I'm going a bit insane from not being able to exercise!
On a more positive note, my brother-in-law went to see his consultant today and whilst his brain tumour has grown slightly, he was not overly concerned. He is having anothet mri next month to monitor him.
Only 9 working days till my holiday and I can't wait!!!!! I hope you all enjoyed the sunshine over the weekend cos that could be it till next year! xxx
Sorry to hear about your BIL but good that they are not too concerned.
Hope BT goes OK - I had to have them every 2 weeks when I was pregnant with my 2nd DS and found the best thing is not to look at what they are doing - find a picture on the opposite wall to stare at and imagine you are somewhere else. Well it worked for me anywayxx

10 days till my debt free day, and I've also got my half yearly bonus to look forward to in the same pay packet, so I may even have a surplus. Not that I'm going to be lacking things to spend the money on....one friend is getting married in Mexico next year, and another is organising a stag do in Dublin.
Sorry to hear about your 10k Jemma, can't say I have any experience in the field but aneamia sounds like a possible cause. I'm not entirely sure of the link, but my nephew had anaemia and my sister was making him a fry up for breakfast every morning. Good news about your brother-in-law too.
fallenwiccan - I'd love to be able to help, but I'm one of those really handy blokes that leave complex tasks like checking the oil to the mechanic, and installing a new light switch to the electrician. However, if you have any problems that require a study of 20th century history...
Great news that you are nearly debt free :j.Pay debt in 2012 #278 £2347/£5364

Well I got up this morning at 8am   and come down to Miss Lily fully dressed and trying to get her shoes on! even her bag is on the sofa ready :rotfl: do you think she was keen to go back for her next day?
Forced her to remove her shoes again (they are patent and mummy does NOT want to polish them!), tie a tea towel round her neck as she decides she wants crumpets with buttershe eats, tell her to do teeth and for the first time in 4 years she jumps up and does them straight away!! So obviously burying her depression at leaving mummy deep down inside :rotfl:

They're testing for... renal, bone, liver, tft, glucose and full blood count. Don't know what most of these mean except it means 6 vials of blood eek!
Fallenwiccan, I had a problem with damp in my rental place and got a dehumidifier, think it was £70 from argos. Amazing how much water it collected!
Superheavy, I bet you can't wait for the next 9 days!!!!! I really find history interesting btw!

That should only be 3 vials for those tests. The first 4 are all likely to be done on the same analyser so only one for those, one for glucose and one for FBC. So only half as bad as you thinkDMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -

Thank goodness for that as I get quite dizzy when they do blood tests anyway so had visions of me waking up on the floor! Maybe I should tell her to just keep taking the blood if I do faint :rotfl:
I'm a bit worried I'll have to go back though as the Glucose one has (fasting) next to it but my doctor said I didn't need to fast (although was quite old and not all there, lovely man though!) so I rang up the surgery this morning and they said that if he'd not told me to fast then I didn't need to...weird!

Fasting is preferable in some ways as then you know what the body is doing without a supply of glucose so if your levels are borderline with non-fasting they might repeat it. Non-fasting is a good test too though so don't worry if your doctor wants that one it's fine to eat normally. Just tell the phlebotomist to write non-fasting on the form and then the lab will know. If you have good sugar control even a non-fasting specimen should be reasonably normal so I'm sure it'll be fine.
I once (in my teens I think) fainted in the chiropodist's chair when she was scraping off a verrucca!:eek: I was mortified when I came round but she said she just carried on :rotfl::rotfl:DMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I reckon it'd be much easier to go to the dentist/doctors etc if they knocked you out first. I wouldn't mind being hit round the head if you woke up to find they'd done all the work! :rotfl:
