No dent in the debt to report, but it's payday this coming Friday so I am definitely going to reduce the OD (that I increased by £250) by £50 then...small steps and I can't spend it then, or get charged interest on that bit. Hope you've all had a good bank holiday.

Morning all
Slightly hungover todaybut had a wonderful day yesterday and not back at work until Thursday so I'm happy :j
A DD has come out so:
#084 £12,041 / £58,000 20.76%
Over £12k paid off :j:j:j Sadly I haven't accounted for interest and balance transfer fees etc. so it's less than that really but it's £12k paid out of my salary so I'm declaring every penny :rotfl:DMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -
Morning all debtbusters!
I was tempted not to update this month because due to my holiday my overall debt is more than it was before we went. We did know this and we didn't overspend on holiday but it still feels a bit rubbish. However, we are still on track to be DF by Xmas so I am forcing myself to feel positive and I am forcing myself to be honest with you guys and update the real situation!
#050: £3619/£10722 - 37.49% cleared
We are getting serious with the debt now and between now and Christmas there are no holidays planned (well except one night away in London that was booked and paid for months ago), and we are not buying clothes and other unnecessary items. In fact, we're occupying ourselves with decluttering and generally making the house nicer without spending any money.
Well done to all debt busters, and make sure you keep the goal in mind - we're going into the last third of the year and I can't wait to read about everybody's success in the coming months - I know you can all do it!

Hello fellow DFBXers
Kerri welcome back :j You've really been missed here, and of course on SP - off to see if you've checked in there nextMr M have Cu5he11e 16 rolls for £5 (31.25p ea) if you're looking for offers!
Jakes-mum I'm nearly 30 and still need my mummyAlways have, always will. The nice thing is that I'm now old enough to reciprocate and can be there for her, too
I have just been to N@twest to make a lump sum payment off my loan and when I asked what the interest charge amounted to, I was told that I took out my loan during a loophole in their terms which means that there is no charge!! :j:j The helpful man on the phone even advised me to leave a little on the loan even if I want to pay the whole thing off as then it will only count as an overpayment rather than an early redemption and so no chargeThat's saved me about £100 now and about £250 in total relating to my intended overpayments
I've been having a really rough couple of weeks and that really cheered my up
It's DH's sister's birthday and being very MSE, I finished the cross-stitch that she told me she liked last year. I kept meaning to head out and buy the backing fabric and stuffing to make it into a cushion for her but have realised that I have enough bits at home to make a patchwork back and can use an old cushion to fill it, so no additional spend needed.now to figure out what to do for DH's birthday next month and his dad's birthday just before Xmas.....
My new totals (now actually into payments, rather than debt increases!!)
#077: £1,456.20/£16,660.26 8.74% paid
Having to think seriously about what I want from my career here, coupled with a particularly tough couple of weeks in the office have made me realise that no matter what role or salary they offer me, I'm never going to be happy. What I really want is a new career and it's time to start dealing with it.
The question is, what do I do? There are plenty of things I would like to do and am able to do, but I can't afford to live on the salaries offered at the moment. I keep wondering whether to stick it out until DH and I decide to start a family so that I can take advantage of the maternity benefits and worry about it then, but we're not ready for that yet and I'm not sure how long I can hold out for.If I tell you that the amount I bake is directly proportional to how upset/stressed I am and then that this weekend I made: 4 loaves of bread, cupcakes, a chocolate cake, an apple tart, and a savory flan, amongst other bits...gives you an idea of how I'm feeling. Then I cried because I didn't think it was good enough.
Really don't know what to do.
Anyway, time to move on from my pity party and celebrate the good progress into debt-busting
Have a good Tuesday everyone xxxx:jDebt Free By Xmas 2013 #010 £16,660.26/£16,660.26 100% paid, DFD 25/06/13!:j0 -

Don't worry about it, my percentage keeps going up and down like a yoyo! And anyway, 37.49% is something to be proud of, not ashamed of :j:j:j
DD min payment to CC today, so I've got a new total too.
#304 £1,381.31/£5,210.12 (26.51%)
:mad:STILL seem to be hovering around the 25-30% mark! AND I think at the end of the month my total will actually be less than this due to the interest.
On a more positive note, DD1 slept in her own bed last night after hubby made a compromise of putting pants on over her nappy :A (she only wanted pants on and isn't potty trained at all). I've started a reward chart, so when she sleeps in her bed she gets a reward the following day and then at weekends if she manages to sleep in her bed both on friday and saturday night then she gets and extra special treat on sunday.
On ebay, my dress is doing rather well and is currently at 16.99, although no takers on the leather jacket. I took some photos the other day for my maternity trousers, so if I get a chance today I'll put them on.£2013 in 2013 £866.71/£2013

Hello all!
No debt busting to report but not used the CC either this month :T but then I didn't pay much off the CC either last payment day
Off on our hols next week so hoping there's some money left over to pay a bit more towards it. Planning on taking a lot of ready meals (home made of course) so we don't eat out too much and I don't have to attempt cooking in a small cabin kitchen.
Mum's freezer broke this weekend so we ended up putting as much of her food as we could into mine. I unboxed stuff and put them in labelled bags but didn't save cooking instructions, oops! She had loads of food though, think she's planning for armageddon or something :rotfl: Taking all her food back tonight so I can start my big batch cook for my hols tomorrow
They just went out on Saturday and bought a new, big chest freezer with cash, just like that. One day I want to be able to pay for an unexpected spend without worry like they do...0
