Well done Jemma, take on those fears head on. I could tell you some things about mid wales that are worth being afraid of too!
You were lost in a field...in mid wales....and there's the idea for the horror film I've been meaning to write! Was there a spooky old house with net curtains and a broken tractor outside?DFW - DEBT FREEEEEE!

Well done on job AffordmyLife
Go you Jemma - that's a massive achievement!!
I've been struggling to keep my kids entertained this holiday with no car and very little money. Got a bit desperate on Sunday when DH had to unexpectedly go into work so plans for day out had to be cancelled. I therefore decided to go on a few outings for the last few weeks (by bus and train - so expensive) and so I'm not going to be able to pay much off our debt next month due to the cost of this - the money has to come from somewhere. Trouble was we were starting to crawl the walls and the kids were driving each other (and then me) mad so the debt free date will just have to be put back a bit.Pay debt in 2012 #278 £2347/£5364

Well done Jemma! Keep pushing those boundaries!
Finally it'll be pay day tomorrow. Pretty much all the money has already been allocated so after tomorrow, I won't have much left. Unfortunately, I have to pay less than I want towards the cc but it's still the third last step towards DF. Having last week of this month off as it's BFs birthday. Hopefully we can go away walking or something. It'll have to be cheap and cheery as we are both skint.
Busy during the weekend, out both days so didn't have time to do anything about selling stuff.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
Just found out that work are paying my bonus to me ahead of payday (it was meant to be last payday so they're paying it now so that I don't have to wait until the end of the month).
I should have approximately £4,500 to put towards the CC and loan by Thursday :j:beer::j:beer:
Edit:
Oh, and our new managing partner stopped me this morning and said he wanted to talk to me. Cue panic! (Why is it that if the boss wants to speak to you, you assume the worst, even if you know you've done nothing wrong...?!).
So I go and have a chat which opens with him saying that he thinks I'm underemployedI nodded in agreement and he went on to ask me exactly how ambitious am I and what do I want to be doing.
I said I need time to think about it. It's a great complement (in a funny way) but a little frightening, too. I really don't know what I want, and I don't like change (though I know I should be doing more with my career)
There we go. Needed to get that off my chest!:jDebt Free By Xmas 2013 #010 £16,660.26/£16,660.26 100% paid, DFD 25/06/13!:j0 -
CW2 - tough one there hun, I'm pretty much in the same boat. I have a HSBC loan which I will get £1500 cashback if I let it run to term in August 14. In the meantime I can save the money I was going to use to pay the loan off early for a house deposit but it means that "technically" I won't be debt free but I'll have the money in another account to offset. For me this is as good as being debt free as it'll be better for me!
Thanks Jemma - I think you're right, having the money in another account to offset it is just as good if it means you can get into a better position for yourself generally xx

I got lost on the way back as I didn't have sat nav or a road atlas so ended up in a layby surrounded by corn fields in the middle of nowhere but it didn't bother me and I just followed my nose and got back.
I don't know why but my internal sat nav switches off in Wales, I was once late for a friends christening because I couldnt find Mold town hall, and then got lost on the way to the reception at a pub, and arrived half an hour after everyone else. V embarressing! Only happens in Wales......
