OK, I admit it, I did sit up till 1am to watch the entire olympics opening ceremony :o I'll admit im not the most patriotic of people but I thoroughly enjoyed it and did feel a little swell of pride as Team GB walked into the stadium :o, was not so impressed when they zoomed in on her Madje while they were parading round the stadium waving the Union Jack, to see her picking dirt out of her nails :rotfl: but it was probably just very bad timing on the camera crews part, im sure she was just as proud of our country at that moment as the rest of of us :)
Absolutely loved the torch and fireworks, and the journey through our music, the parade of atheletes took forever :rotfl: and hands up who thought at least once 'ive never heard of that country!' DH and I managed 4 unknowns I think it was :o

Anyway onto the debt, and I have . . . . nowt to tell you :D STILL waiting for my CC bill! I think its a conspiracy for them to stop me paying them back personally :naughty:

I stayed up too. It was fantastic and Danny Boyle should be so very proud. Makes you proud to be British. We certainly did put on a fantastic show. Loved the fact that the elite athletes gave away their rights to light the torch and handed it over to the kids who are our future medal hopefuls, had a lump in my throat at that point.

No payments today waiting to get paid:(
Have a great day, think I will be watching the tv all day:)

Hi everyone. Had a sulk for a while over the expense of my new car but I am back!
Decided to just keep the extra I have borrowed on the back burner to pay off next year as including it was killing my mojo!

    so

Payday yesterday, so a little update from me. Not a big payment at the min but hoping to make another one when my outgoings are over and I know what i need to live on.

    #4 £4350/13979

I didn't win a THING on euromills last night and I spent ten bloody quid! Oh wells.

Trying to get a plan together in my head. Firstly I MUST MUST MUST not fritter my wages away on crap this month as it's a five weeker.

I figured I am not going to pay off all my debt (unless said lottery result comes in :D) so I have 4 creditors left in my DMP. Three of them come to £4k and the final one is £6k. I am going to save up the 4k before christmas and hope that the 3 creditors accept full and finals. All the interest is frozen and I figured it would be better morale wise if I have only one creditor to blast after xmas.

Agree with others, the olympic ceremony was awesome. Jakes mom, I saw that bit with queenie too. Naughty, naughty :D

  • JakesMum - thanks for the advice, my old bras have a few decades left in them yet.
Canucksfan Its not crazy where i am, which is north london. I live within walking distance of Alexandra Palace, which will probably screen lots of the action, but really its only when they have the big screens out that people arrive and then magically disappear. I too thought the ceremony was great and am so proud we have thus far managed to pull it off, i had little faith it has to be said, but they are doing us proud.

We were also skeptical, but thought it was amazing,we've got friends staying and watching it was a last minute decision, we are all so glad we did. I just hope there aren't any nutters plotting anything stupid :(
