Hello all, well done on the debt payments everyone!
I was working away for a week (which was fab fun) and then came home to go and trap a nerve in my neck so was signed off for two weeks.
Monday was hard coming back to work but it's Wednesday now so not long to go until the weekend and I've got Olympic football to look forward to on Sunday.
I'll hopefully update my savings totals on Monday I'm going to include the joint car savings account now as it is progress for both of us and it's much needed as there is potential redundancies at OH's job.
Hope he does some applications whilst he's on a day off today.
I hope you're all ok. The Hen do and Wedding do went really well for my friend (unfortunately I trapped the nerve when I was at her evening do, no idea how).HSBC CC - £3000 / £3000
Halifax CC - £1032.77 / £1032.77

Good Morning my lovelies
Well DH and I have had a bit of a natter regarding our trusty baby car, as you all know the Axa money was originally to replace her but having actually looked at what is wrong with her . . 3 of the blower settings dont work, boot lock is knackered, and the 4th gear keeps jumping out. I can buy the blower unit for £15 off ebay, the lock is prob £50 max and according to this here tinternet the gear problem is either low oil or a new gear box, so said to DH it seems silly to trade her in before we have trid replacing the gear box oil, as if that is her problem its going to cost £100 to fix her
So we are off to the renault garage to ask for prices for everything and ive emailed a scrappy to see if they have our car that we could rob for bitscould b saving meself £6k here :rotfl:
She will still need replacing but if we can get her to run another 12 months before changing her it would be a bonusSPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -
Congratulations to Canucksfan :j:j:beer:– that’s a fabulous achievement!!
I’ve has a mixed week really. Its payday today :j and I wasn’t overdrawn yesterday so that’s a great result!:D
I’ve also lost 2lb over the last 3 weeks so I am back in target at SW so shouldn’t have to pay from now on (that’s IF I don’t stuff my face).:o
The DD’s for the end of the month have gone out so I’m declaring another £366.77 to make:
#306 £10251.97/£16779.81 61.10%
Woohoo – Over 60% !!!
BUT – I have taken my eye off the ball what with the kids being off school and I paid my amex card a day late – they charged me £12 and £9.32 interest. Grrrrr  I phoned and pleaded and they have kindly waived the £12 charge, but they said that there is nothing they can do about the late mark on my otherwise perfect credit file. All our monthly expenses go on one of 2 CC’to get cash back & these cards are always paid off every month. I really should set up a DD. All our debt is on 0% cards.
I am also spending waaay to much trying to keep the kids entertained & it’s looking like I will be back into OD by the end of this month. Childcare is just so expensive.
Well done to everyone for all their payments.

Oooh I've just had a rant on the credit card board, those people are so judgmental to people wanting advice. I know we talked about it before on here, so not to go over old ground, just wanted to share a :mad:!
Hugs I had to have a read and I completely see what you mean. It's good to be part of such a friendly board.

Its a Renault Megane Dynamique (a shorter version of the scenic, but longer than the normal megane ^^)
Well ordered the blower unit for £16, been to a scrappy and bought a new tailgate lock for £25 (that actually hasnt solved the problem  so think SOMEONE, mentioning no names as we are not apportioning blame heredid a half a**ed job of checking what was wrong) tried to get a new rear blind from there aswell as DD decided to pull on ours till it snapped and they were trying to get us to buy the entire door panel  so we said leave it we'll get one off ebay
Havent got the oil yet as its to darned hot to be outside faffing around under the car anyway so a bit of a mixed day, but still hopeful we can keep her running a bit longer . . . oh and while we were on our way to the scrappy her wheel was grinding so looks like she needs new bearings as wellSPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -

Hello to everyone else.
I've just got back from 2 days away in Bath and at Stonehenge and it was fab. Can't believe how lucky we were with the weather. Just got to add up what we spent tomorrow - not sure what the damage is yet but I don't think we did too badly
. I'm looking forward to the time when we can afford to have 2 days away without worrying about where the money will come from to eat out!
