I think I'll have to do somethign... trouble is, I've heard versions of something similar to playground stuff in circle and I'm wary of getting involved. I guess going along won't hurt though.
I suppose at least I can say I was being honest when I sent the message... I've just said that I sent it to let her know how I was feeling and so it could get sorted out. Which is fair enough! I really hate stuff like this! People are surprised that I actually don't like confrontation and shy away from it, Mr S would laugh if he saw that but when it's something important like friendships or relationship stuff I hate it.Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

Obviously the last few months have shown different... I wouln't even care so much if I was busy doing stuff! It's just spending day after day doing nothing that gets to you.
ETA: I've now been told it doesn't help when I get like this.... !!!!!!!
I know how you feel being on your own, I'm coming up to 11 months unemployed ( - I had to count that on my fingers, I didn't realise it was that long), and there are days when I'm climbing the walls. I've lived in Canada for almost 4 years, and I don't count anybody as a true friend, all my friends are back in the UK. Yep it's hard, but I'd still rather have my own company than false friends who forget about me as soon as I leave the room. I have 'associates' or past 'work colleagues', and as such I don't expect anything more of them.
Friends come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime, acknowledging why someone has come into your life, makes it easier when it's time for you, or them to move on.
Wouldn't worry about hijacking the thread, one of the great things about this thread is it's tendency to go off topic.:rotfl:0 -

:rotfl:Just what you need to make you start internalising the problem. Don't you dare Madam, step away from the mind games.:rotfl:Presumably that comment came from one of the people that you lived with. Someone who knows more about you than most people do, someone who has seen you when you're down. Someone who should know better?0 -
I personally feel that social networking is one of the roots to why this society has the problems it does.
10 years ago when SN didn;t exist, I don't remember bad problems obviously you had your dodgy people and politicians. But now you have people said this that and the other on X social network and it really annoys me!
People also use it to wind each other up. MY RANT OVER :rotfl:
PS Don't get me started on reality TV!In debt no more!0 -

Time for my 12 week scan tomorrow - I hv had losses before now, so very nervous... The fact that my dr keeps muttering birth abnormalities (due to my age and cos I could do with losing a few pounds) probably doesn't help matters. Am working a night shift tonight and will go straight in for the scan after; DH thinks I am going to snore my way through the scan-charming!
Hi Canucksfan - I actually woke up this morning and remembered that it was your scan today, which is amazing for me as I don't usually remember what I'm supposed to be doing let alone anybody else :rotfl:So just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking of you and hope you get a really good clear picture. I'm past the stage of taking any notice of what the Doctors say here, I don't think they have a filter and they just end up saying all the negatives before they actually think about what they're saying. Key words are: time, place and moderation.
Have a good day.0 -

Totally agree... while my upset isn't with FB, it's because of FB that I know they were going to the beach. People also share way too much information with it!Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

Totally agree, I would rather spend half an hour having quality time with a friend than spend 2 hours (or more ) sitting at home alone reading about what everybody else is supposedly doing. Apparently any body with less than 500 FB friends is a loser, totally ridiculous.
The thing with reality TV is that we watch it because no matter how bad we think we are, we are reassured that we're not as bad as those people. You think your house is untidy, well it's not as bad as theirs, you think you've got debt, well it's not as bad as theirs, you think your family is a nightmare, well it's not as bad as theirs etc etc etc. So ultimately the thing with reality TV is we only watch it to make ourselves feel superior.:o0 -

That is just so far wrong, it's way past the line. I haven't had that but some of my friends probably haven't been far off it!
Mr S is saying if they don't reply I should text them again later but I'm just going to leave it now, I've explained I sent the message so it could get sorted out and it's doing my head in being on my own for so long, so I can't do or say any more without either being a complete b!tch or making myself sound pathetic, and I refuse to apologise for saying that I'm upset; if they were friends then they would give a dam that I'm obviously upset and do something to sort it out.
Maybe I just have high expectations of friends!
I'm going to email the chairlady of circle and ask about joining, I have to do something. Mr S is out tonight so that's more time on my own. Any DFBX12ers living in the Essex area?Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

I would much rather be with a real person than fb but unfortunately fb and mse (which is totally different to fb!!) is my company most days when everyone is at work... I will start going to the gym again soon, just need to make sure I'm fully sorted from op.
Nothing annoys me more than Mr S posting on fb when we are out doing something, I always tell him that it's really sad he feels the need to post what we are doing on fb rather than just enjoying what we are doing!Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16
