Well everyone I've been a brave girl and reduced my overdraft online by £250! I think that's the only way im going to force myself to reduce it. Just another £4000 to go! I'm going to be really frugal this month plus I should be getting another £350-400 from overtime. Whatever I have left in my account on next payday-the 24th july (aiming for £500) I will reduce it again by the amount. Then I'll be able to update my amount here. I've had an overdraft since I went to uni in 1995, it will be so weird to have an account in positive balance, rather than having to work it back all the time and look at available balance. What a strange concept it will be. Was hoping to have cleared it by sept/oct but being realistic its going to be a bit longer now- you never know! My daughter starts school in sept so I will be child free mon- fri school hrs so might crank up the overtime. On well Oncall tonight so better go now!LBM 14th Oct 2011 TOTAL DEBT £8500  £8500/£8500 (100%) paid)

Well done! Our OD is £3500 and I hate never being in credit, but it's not our highest interest rate debt by a long way, so will have to stay for a few years yet.Long haul supporter #290POAYDBX2014 #043LBM Dec 2011 Debt £51K Debt Nov 2014 £42K0 -

Hey everyone, it's my dad's birthday tomorrow so we had all the family round today for a buffet. It was actually a success which was a shock as family occasions are always really stressful in our house!
Running club tomorrow night which I'm looking forward to but I hope I don't feel so sick this time!
No debt busting to report, in fact I was really naughty and bought a garmin to accurately measure my distance for next years running challenge, however, it has something called a bezel to scroll between options and menus and it is just awful... I cannot begin to tell you how frustrating it is to use. I am seriously thinking of selling it straight away and just getting a stopwatch and will track my mileage online instead by plotting my route...
Anyway, I'll disappear and do some updating now! xxxNew Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

Thanks recurrent ostrich!
Until last month we were only charged £7.50 a month, but Santander have increased it now to £20 a month, which is not so bad really but would still rather not pay it. I'm aiming for £3500 by the end of July.LBM 14th Oct 2011 TOTAL DEBT £8500  £8500/£8500 (100%) paid)

Ooh I do love a big update… the easiest way of keeping up! Welcome to the newbies!
It’s official, I’m back to work on July 8th… I guess it will be good to get back but I’m very nervous. Just hoping it doesn’t translate into panic attacks as it did to my friend who had to stop flying! Better make the most of my last couple of weeks of freedom… can’t believe I’ve been off for 7 months. Mr S’s birthday was good, although he had to ‘look’ after me a bit… he was upset he couldn’t have his birthday beer but I did argue that me having been in hospital was circumstances beyond my control! We signed up today for the unlimited cinema thingy… yes it’s £15 per month but we do quite often go the cinema, and at least this way we can watch films for free if we have an evening to do something. I also get to have a girly evening with Mr S’s mum and sister on Friday as I’ll be staying at their house on my own (not nervous about that at all!!!!). Less than 1 month until my race for life… I’m so not going to run it, what with taking it easy this week and then 2 weeks training for work, I’m not going to have anywhere near enough time to be able to run up to 5k! I guess it’s the taking part that counts!
Fritterprincess – well done on reducing the OD
Jemma – I’d sell it if you aren’t happy with it, I know I don’t use stuff I find fiddly… can you use any phone apps and keep a track of your running every day? Glad you had a nice day for your dads birthday.
Mrs addicted to spending – every little helps as Mr T says! 50p a day is equal to over £150 per year!
Natlie – congratulations on the wedding! (not sure I’ve said it before)
Brandnewstart - can I have some of your motivation for exercise?! I must go to the gym this week, try and get into it before I go back to work. 41 miles! That’s amazing! Me and Mr S are both needing to be healthier as we have put on a fair amount of weight in the last year…
Jakes-mum – hope your finger is ok! I could easily eat 13 bars of chocolate…. And lucky you getting an ipad!
Rosiest – hope the house sells quickly… a month doesn’t make much difference in the grand scheme of things but hope you can get it back
Pedro – how did the race go?
Camuk – your night out sounds like what I need! Hope you have recovered now! Well done on paying off the 2 loans.
Starnac – consider your butt kicked!!
Loubie - I’ll forget so I’ll say now: HAVE FUN on holiday!
Shrewbie – hope things are better for you now
His missus – I’d be mad too… (most) blokes just don’t get it! Mr S tells me all the time he has stopped spending… well he hasn’t cos he is still dipping into his savings and not knowing where his money goes!Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

Great news about your job although it will be scary at first. I'm sure you'll get back into it before you know it. Good luck with the preps for that.
Thanks about the 50p a day thing - it's little things like this that can keep me motivated :T.Pay debt in 2012 #278 £2347/£5364

Morning all!
Welcome on board Tinks.
Good news Psycho, I'm sure you'll be fine if a little nervous.
Feeling a bit confused dot com today. Received a letter from Mr Taxman telling me I've underpaid by £600 even though a few weeks ago I received a cheque saying I'd overpaid by £600 :undecided Glad I asked for them to reissue the cheque in my married name (not yet received, could take 6 weeks) Going to call them up tonight after work and ask them to get it sorted. The underpayment letter took almost 3 wks to get to me too.
I've started speaking to Hubby but he is still in the bad books. He denied his little jolly was costing that much so I told him to work out the maths, maybe this why we're in so much debt. We don't realise the complete cost of things when we buy bits here and there or wop it on the CC.
Off to pretend to do some work :rotfl:0
