  • hello everyone.

debt busting not going so well at the moment.

managed to pay off another £120 so im at

    no 78 £2120/£4500 47% i think.

hope everyone is doing well and not struggling as i am.

its feels impossible to have any sort of fun/life just existing from pay day to pay day.

    xx

You are doing really well! You are almost at 50% which is right on track for this challenge :) Maybe you could think of something to celebrate when you hit the 50% mark? That might cheer you up a bit... while we have to rein in our spending to avoid getting into the evil debt situation again, we have to occassionally treat ourselves or socialise otherwise we become miserable which isn't good for anyones mind or could cause a HUGE blowout! Hope you feel better soon :)

Aarrgghh!! Having a really bad MSE month!! It has been DS's birthday so there was the presents, party and outings. Also school trips, stuff for his after school clubs, etc. etc. AND I'm feeling so knackered today I've just sent DH out for a takeaway!! Never mind, payday Monday and I will literally lose the plot if I have to cook :D

Well done everyone else though, some great totals.

And can't remember whose the cake was but LOVE it :T

Kerfuffle – how did your appointment at the opticians go?

Pretty good, thank you for asking. Hubby and I both went together as he was getting some safety glasses for work so he was there to hold my hand :rotfl: We had some drops put into our eyes which dilated the pupils so the optometrist could see the back of our eyes, and the drops stung a little bit. But that was the worst part, so all in all, after the scare stories I read the other day on here I think I got off lightly :D

The outcome is that now I have to wear glasses for driving, it's not a choice anymore, oops. So my distance vision has deteriorated and my close vision has also deteriorated but I'll get away with that for a couple of years, and then I'll have to decide whether I want vari-focals (spelling?) or 2 pairs of glasses. So down the road I'm going to be one of those people that say "where's me readers?" :rotfl:

Apparantly my mid-vision is excellent :D

I had new lenses put into my old frames so a little bit of frugaling came into play :T

Got to admit though, I hadn't realised how bad my distance vision had got until I put the new glasses on, it's opened up a brand new world. I don't how long I'd have gone with the old glasses if I hadn't sat on them :rotfl:

Sorry for the waffle, it was only supposed to be a quick reply.

Anyhow, just to keep on topic I'll be paying some money towards BoM&D on Monday :T

Hi there and welcome to the thread tinks14 - Mfu088 looks after us by keeping track of our debts and what we've paid off. We usually state what our debts are to start with in big red numbers so Mfu088 can see the post and then she'll give you a number. We usually post everytime we pay off a debt so we can keep track of how we are doing and quite often in between anyway as it's a chatty thread!!

Had a spend on the cc last month for hols so just a small payment of £72.50 to clear that (not including this as payment).:( Also spent on another cc that was clear so had to pay £250 odd off that as not 0% card:eek:, hence no extra debt payments for June.
Get paid on the 6th and 18th July so will make 2 payments for july instead. This should make me back on track to hopefully clear this debt by aug, fingers crossed.:T Putting myself under pressure but had planned to clear this before Dec. I just want this debt GONE!!!!
