Is anyone else finding themselves ridiculously busy at the moment and struggling to keep up with everything??? Or is this just what it's like to get a life...? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

My life has turned really manic at the moment. The kids break up in less than 2 weeks, we've had 3 nights of school plays this week so not got home til 9.30pm each night as school is too far from home to go there and back. So lots of junk food for us.

I have teacher gifts to buy, cards to get and write (I'm not good with words). DD has won a prize, but we need to choose a book & hand that it by monday so that it can be presented at prizegiving, but that involves a trip into town (Oh I wish Borders didn't go bust). Both kids are on scout camp this weekend & I've not even started to pack. DD is on a trip on Friday so thats another early start (after a late night performing at the play). AND its DH's birthday at the weekend and the kids don't even have a card for him :(

Oh and I forgot that I signed up to sell at a NCT sale on Sat & I need to label everything sometime tonight or tomorrow night.

And I have a full time job....I could honestly cry:cry:

How did the op go psycho? are you recovering well?

It was ok, bizarrely they didn't do everything they said they were going to though. I have to go back in 4 weeks for a check up but can return to work in 2 weeks. I'm hoping I don't actually fly before my check up though as I'd feel much happier waiting until after. I did have a 5 hour long nose bleed before they let me out which was tedious. Just tired now as hardly slept last night! Trying to get Mr S to run around after me but as it's his birthday I'm not having much luck!

Very annoying, I just got an email to say I won a pair of tickets to the Brave premiere at Edinburgh Festival on 30th June with flights and overnight accommodation, plus tickets to the closing gala night. I can't go as I can't fly for 2 weeks! Would have been fun!

He's disappeared off down the shed as it always knocks his confidence :( I do feel for him as he works so bloomin hard at every job but its never good enough :(

Sorry to hear your news JM :( I don't think it's anything to do with his quality of work, I think it's the job climate at the moment... such a shame for those that want to work hard and earn their own money. Hope you get something sorted. I don't know what line of work he is in, but have you tried the airports for jobs?

    Payday update!

    InsertWittyName #055 | £11,596.25/£16,570.76 (69.98%)

Just under £5k owing (hit my milestone!)

Next two months are going to be slower - got some of the annual bills (car tax, insurance & breakdown cover plus about £500 for holiday spends to cater for).

Oh no hun, I'm sorry it's happened again. I've just got this horrid vision of him heading down to the shed with his shoulders hunched over and a resigned and sad look on his face. Please give him a big hug from us all here, it's just the current job market, I doubt very much it reflects on his ability :A xxx

Please don't cry hun, you'll get through it. You are so strong to deal with so much so be proud of yourself. just make sure you make time for yourself once in a while, even if it's only 15mins in the bath with a smutty novel! ;) xxx

Thanks Jemma, I think sometimes I set myself too high targets & then get stressed when it can't possibly be done. DH says I need to chill out and stop worrying .... if only it was that easy
