My knitting group this evening was cancelled
I was really looking forward to that, oh well!
Affordmylife - I'm sorry that you feel you have been ignored, for my part I honestly can say that it wasn't on purpose. I read everyones posts and thank them when I have done so, sometimes I think and don't post because I don't have time to respond to everyone if I'm working and browsing quickly. But if I've seen your post and thanked it, then I've listened to you

Psychopathbabble well done on the days out.
I saved some days out vouchers last yr and we went to Drayton Manor but I had general days out voucher and not specifically for the park. I had saved £80 worth and when I handed them over got told I couldn't use them.:mad: Was so cross at my mistake so ended up putting £125 on the credit card as couldn't face up setting the kids and going home. Will never make that mistake again.
I used the vouchers to go with 20% off being in the English and purchased a family passport for Blist Hill Victorian town. Fantastic place to visit near Ironbridge n Shropshire.
Hope everyone is well. Waiting to get paid and the cc bill to arrive so I can make a payment.[SIZE=2]SPC4 #1395 Aug 11 £135.75/£150

I used to go to Blists Hill all the time as a kid, loved it! Went a few years ago infact, only because my dad got us in for free. Couldn't believe how expensive it has got!xx

Evening everyone, it was good to read people's stories, I was at dinner with my friend last week (cheap dinner
) and we were talking about my milestone of paying off the mammoth loan last month (£25k over 5 years, ouch) and she asked me how I got in that state, and to be honest, I dont even remember where it came from specifically, which is so scary. I was in a relationship with a bad man who spent my money that I didnt have, but I seemed to have blacked it all out. But its gone now, so I will be able to move on, which is brill.
Anyway, just wanted to say I am being very good this week, went to asda without the kids and with a list, stuck to budget and was out in 45 mins - probably a record. I have cooked every night this week so its going pretty well, and just went to a new ballet and tap class tonight. I was pooping it before hand as I dont like putting myself out there with new people, but it was really good and I came out with a massive smile on my face and sore legs
Ramble over!! Im going to update at the end of the week, hopefully another chunk off. Hugs to anyone who is not having such a good week.
PS prob going to give PPI a try, thanks for the thoughts:xmastree:POMDB Xmas 2013 Board - Paid off £12k in 2012 :j:j :xmastree:

Random question Antonia1 but did you ever finish your report from your old job? I seem to remember that your ex colleagues were not really helping you out!In debt no more!0

Although I can't join in on the 40 plus club that is growing here (unless that is waist size ;-) ) I think there are quite a few of us that actually work in the financial industry. Bonglecat, and I think there might be one or two others.
Really shouldn't have been so reckless to get where I got to, but having to push back the rent for a few days was my LBM....and since then I've been grafting to pay off the debts. I'm over halfway from where I was in terms of debt when I saw the light, but now I'm just focused on getting the rest out of the way, and saving up for a mortgage.
NCTmum - Well done on the good shopping, unfortunately, when I go to the supermarket I am the child! Smart move on the PPI too.DFW - DEBT FREEEEEE!

Did anyone else have a specific incident which caused their LBM?
Can't remember it was so long ago, I think for me it was just the sheer amount of debt and that fact we were fed up not having any money.£2013 in 2013 £866.71/£2013
