Well, doesn't my life rock. A (just) 27yr female sitting in on a saturday night, BGT on the telly, a gin and lemonade on the go, teaching myself to knit. Rock on.

    :)

25 year old me spent the night watching The voice, drinking wine, playing on the Xbox and getting annoyed at the people upstairs running up and down to smoke before they went out drinking. Ah well ;)

25 year old, sat at her parents house this evening, Made in Ch3lsea, LOTR1, Casualty, Have I got a bit more news for you, something to do with the war that was in black and white, (by this time I was knitting booties, literally!!!), then boxing. I drew the line at boxing and went to my room, used my foam roller to make my back go click, click, click, then taught my Dad the exercise my physio has given me to stretch my shoulder muscles.

Oh how thrilling our lives are!!! Hahaha

I just have to say, I really love this thread. Just seeing how everyone bands together when one person is feeling down is amazing :) To think that it's rare for people to even know their neighbours these days and here's a bunch of complete strangers pulling together for one cause, debt freedom. Amazing!

Camuk - I can't really add anything but my support to what everyone else has already said. Some months, like this one for me are just going to be minimum payments, but every month you do overpay helps that debt free day come ever closer. I think many people aren't 100% sure to get rid of all debt by Xmas, but really, this thread is more about doing as much as you can rather than everyone clearing everything by then.

Psychopathbabble and Kerri - I'm going to raise you a 29 year old staying in doing freelance work and watching rugby and boxing for much of the night.

Keep the faith guys, it may be a long path, but stepping through the debt-free gate is going to be awesome.
    DFW - DEBT FREEEEEE!

    Total - 10762/10762 :)

Every silver lining has its cloud.

I guess at least I was learning a new skill ;) It's nights like tonight I wish I did play games :)

Gotta support each other.. who else will do it? Hey at least you were with your parents! How do you knit booties? I'm struggling with wool tension atm, it's not bad but definitely not consistent.

You were earning money at least :) Yep, that gate is going to be freakin awesome... shame I won't have any friends left to celebrate with except of course all you guys!
Anyway, I'm calling it quits and going to bed... night night.

Well they're taking me ages to knit, I've done 10 rows of ribbed so far, need to do that on the 2nd bootie then find the pattern I was using as I've mislaid it on the interwebs somewhere, I know I have to increase but can't remember what to haha.

To keep the tension, I wrap the yarn around my ring finger, then around my index finger (like I would crochet) then knit like that. Although I'm one of these move hand off needle to wrap round as I don't know how to do the finger wiggle yet.

Cheers guys. Had a chill out, another cry then forced myself to re-look at things. Husband has been very appreciative and told me all we need to do is buckle down. Think just major stress. Trying to do much.

Another sign of me tethering on the edge with feeling blinking low. Anyway, world I've officially fallen out with you but I'm not letting you beat me.

I'm sorry to hear you've had a tough time, it is so hard doing this challenge but you should be very proud of all you've achieved and I tend to think that the darker days are a sign that we've accepted things have to change and that things will never be as bad again. Before this challenge I would have just gone and bought some wine and a takeaway when I felt down but now will grit my teeth and have a herbal tea, this hardship not killing us is making us stronger! And like Kerri says we will all have more spare cash when we aren't making debt repayments. I'll be £800 better off a month after my non-mortgage debt is cleared than I was in Dec 2011

:j:j:j What an amazing day!!! Earlier today I rang the tax office and they are sending a cheque in the post for £584.48... THEN... I come home to a letter from HSBC about my PPI reclaim and they are paying me £1003.17!!!!!!!!!!!

That means that in one day I'm getting nearly £1600!!! I cannot tell you how happy I am :j:j:j

I've been really naughty and had a chinese for tea :D

Right, I'm going to start doing my updating peeps and see how amazing you've all been in the last few days. I've tried to keep up but alas, you're all very chatty! :rotfl: Love it! xxx

Wow that's amazing news :j:beer: I need to chivvy along the tax office, they keep telling me there is a delay and I won't get my cheque until July!!!

Good for you with the chinese. We have a rule this year, no takeaways, pubs etc but we can have a takeaway every time we clear a CC :T So only about £5k to go before I get a chow mein :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Ooooh I love the idea about not having a takeaway until you've cleared a CC. I bet that takeaway tastes amazing! After all, a takeaway is meant to be a treat and not the norm but unfortunately for most of our wallets and waistlines, we have too many nowadays. To be fair, I used to have a KFC at least once a week (usually twice ) but since my food poisoning I've not had 1 :T:T:T. Their shares must have plumetted!!! :rotfl: I'm not even missing it and my chinese was my first takeaway in a while so I'm getting better!

By the way everyone, I started doing my update yesterday (on my spreadsheet until it's all done then I can import in) and got through 4 pages so still a way to go...

Oh and in terms of rock n roll...31yrs old, living with parents, no alcohol, just me repotting all my plants for 3 hrs on a saturday night. Think I win hands down for being the saddest person on the earth... :rotfl:
