 am off with DD for a tap dancing taster tomorrow, I dont do socialising, im terrible at it, going to be so awkward round the other mums :( its only 30 minutes long but still dreading it. Its Kerri's fault! her and her challenge making me go against my hermit style nature

Ooh, I hate socialising with other parents too. Hate the whole school playground thing. My son has problems with some of the other boys so I use that as my excuse to stand on my own.

As for the £500 savings, again this seems like a lot but our house is practically falling apart and if something major happens, we would have NO MONEY for this and wouldn't be able to use the credit card. I'm planning on building up this pot and as the months go on, using some of the money to overpay.

Feels good to have a plan :)

Ours too! One of our neighbour's kindly pointed out all the faults she could see with the outside of our house  She won't be coming round for drinks!:p
    Well done you're at 78.72% repayed! That's amazing :T:T:beer::T:T

    Thanks Fallen:D

Well, we have had our best week at the business for about 18 months, which is a blurry relief as a few weeks ago I was trying to persuade DH to sell. Which means that after checking the business account I have paid off another £500 today. I feel a bit bad as DH is working 6 day weeks with absolutely no treats, but we're so close to the finish line now. So:

    #319 £5309.94/£6109.94:j:j

:TI did it!:T Went to Mr A's with £47 in my pocket (spent almost £3 in H&B at lunchtime) bought only what was on my shopping list (well substituted fruit, which looked pants, for crisps as a treat) and only spent £36.56 :j

£9 left to buy fruit on Sunday and anything else we might need - DH pit the loose change in the holiday fund jar :p

    Have a fab weekend xxx

We've got quite a few new members recently so thought I'd post this again to help x
To help me run this thread easily, could you please all post your totals in large text and in a bold colour, i.e.:
    £265.43/£7685.67
(where the first amount is the total you have paid off so far in this challenge and the second amount is the total you pledged to clear by Xmas 2012.
It would also be a big help if you could also put with it your challenge number.
i.e. another £50 paid off so now the total for
    #001 is £315.43/£7685.67
By the way, don't worry about working out your % paid as I can do that for you!

  • Well we've had to spend some money today but at least only on planned items. DH needed some new shirts for his new job as 4 of his were threadbare and a tie as he'll have to wear one in his new job and he only had a couple. Also bought birthday present for me as it's my birthday next week. It was lovely to have a day out together before he starts his new job on Monday :)
