Afternoon all, well bad week. Kid has been playing up at school, so Karate club has set him a challenge. I'm hoping this is going to improve things a bit. Just overly stressed with everything.
Then just got a tax bill from the tax office, once again my tax code has changed. Had a little cry, end result feeling exhausted and feeling like I may have to stop the challenge. Just shocked myself by seeing that my debt payments are more then free cash.
Thankfully two lots of cash due through soon, so going to struggle on but I may have cut down to minimum payments. Proper stressed with it all.
Stupid tax man. Right off for another cry and a sleep to get rid of all this negativity then start rethinking action plan. I'm sure it's not as bad as I think it is at this exact moment.but you had your lightbulb moment in November and since then you've paid off over half of what you owe, that's only 6 months ago. I think quite a few of us are making debt repayments that are higher than our free money. But just think how much free money we'll have when we're debt free! It's just another 6 months of living like paupers then we're completely free.
Or... you could cut that in half and be debt free by Easter next year if that eases the pressureIf Jemma doesn't continue the challenge next year, then I'll still be here for a 2013 one as I need to start saving for a house and I need all of your help, every single one of you provide inspiration and encouragement, to get me there. I know there are plenty of others that aren't going to be debt free by the end of this year, but it gives us a goal to work towards.
No debt news from me today though, still waiting for second lot of expenses to go into my bank, really annoyed that I'm having to worry about money because I'm owed it. I've been being really, really good with my pennies!
Hugs to those that need it xxDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Cheers guys. Had a chill out, another cry then forced myself to re-look at things. Husband has been very appreciative and told me all we need to do is buckle down. Think just major stress. Trying to do much.
Another sign of me tethering on the edge with feeling blinking low. Anyway, world I've officially fallen out with you but I'm not letting you beat me.0 -

Sorry to see you are having a tough time CamUK I'm sure after a sleep and a rethink you will feel better
As others have said, ease the pressure on yourself. You took the hardest step when you had your LBM so you have done brilliantly. Take a break if you need one, or reduce your payments for a bit... whatever it takes to make you happier. No point in making ourselves completely miserable... health is always top priority.x

Thats such great news Jemma :T :T
Sorry your not having such a great time Camuk, dont let it beat you, dont look at the end goal, look at each step forward, every single one is a victory. If it takes till next xmas to get completely debt free its still a darned sight quicker than if you didnt try and pay it off at all.
On my own debt journey, I have just added to my debt  though its not as bad as its going to sound so bear with me! Have just put a £200 cash deposit on a £2100 car for DH, the rest of which will hopefully be put on to a 0% for 12 month purchases card (that we are waiting to arrive) I know I know! hang on it gets better! DH's motorbike is being put up for sale next week which should bring in at least £1500 and the other £400 is the money I got as back pay from the DLA, so I actually do have the money to pay for it in cash in a round about kind of way
So though it is going on a card, its not actually a debt per se IYSWIMSPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -

I knowI cant help it! It was a neccessary purchase as DH nearly dropped his bike on friday as he cant bend his ankle enough with all the fluid he's carrying in his legs
plus we cant afford for him to have to give up work.
I did insist on dinner out this evening though so I did get something to myself . . . oh and I MAY have also agreed to double dance lessons for Miss Lily for £45 a month. I feel I am a lost cause you know

Hang in there CamUK - you have done really well so far, much better than me! And you should be proud to be facing up to things and doing something about them! It might feel !!!! now but it will get better! You can't do gruel and water forever, so as other posters have said, give yourself a break! :coffee:
I know how rubbish it can feel, believe me. But I reckon if we all hang in and support one another we can do anything. Anyway I'll prob need support off you next time I'm down so you have to be OK!
Try and count some blessings too - this helps me sometimes. I have clothes on my back, I am not starving, I have friends and a family who love me, etc
Lots of love
